And then there will be relegation promotion thing. Also there isn't a lack of players. If one goes others will come. Look at Paisa Shortage league, they still have the players.

Anyways Going forward Cricket will be like 2 diff sports. Red ball Test Cricket will have thier own players and White ball (T20s) will have thier own players. ODI will cease to exist or just be an exhibition stuff.

In that case those playing for national teams wont be able to fully commit to Ipl na..it would be 3 different teams then unlike how few players play every format..will all countries agree just because India choose to go that way

The only rule BCCI and ICC should make is national duty is priority and no club can stop a player. In the exchange player should be compensated properly.

For sure this can happen.

NZ already have a system. Partial contracts. Players have a choice to sign partial or full contracts. Full contracts means they will have to play for country whenever the Board asks. Partial contracts mean they are obligated to play only important tournaments like WCs and big team series and the few warmup tours before a big event. For rest of the time they can choose to play T20 leagues or national team it's upto them.

NZ Have a small Board and these T20 leagues help them a lot. Players are self sufficient and doesn't burden the board much. And then you have the broadcast rights money if NZ players play in other leagues.

SA was struggling a lot , they adopted Franchise system and that gave them money to grow domestic cricket and Play and host more tests and they won the WTC.

They are picking someone with Zero winning record instead of an IPL winner Shreyas or an SMAT winner Kishan. What's the point of SMAT if you don't reward the winner?
