Honesty DMK should avoid.

For DMK , MK Stalin has declared that they would function as opposition and would not trouble TVK for 6 months ...😂

But people in TN don't really want BJP...like at all..

So even though there was huge anti-incumbency and the mandate was primarily against DMK but may be they would rather take DMK+ AiAdmk alliance than get into governor rule.... which would be similar to BJP rule to them

Plus re-election in a state like TN is no joke

He is visiting governor like 4 times a day like how i used to visit my hod to get sign in record note book and how she used to find errors everytime and send me back..

Tvk is currently in coalition with dmk only except that it has their allies and not actual dmk members

Idk who is advising him this, he shouldn't go without confirmation, they are trying to make him laughing stock.

He managed 118 MLAs to form government.

No not yet..a complaint has been filed that they have forged a signature..so we are not sure

At the moment he is only trusting governor i guess..whatever governor says he is doing respectfully..he hasnt spoken anything about him ..so he is keeping everything between him and governor rather than trusting third person with that work..

It is allies who are troubling him more than governor

Yes

But he shouldn't be visiting the Governor when he has clearly said that he would be allowed to make government only after getting the majority.

Also these soo called allies will only gonna cause trouble.

Atp, I wish he'd won just a few more seats . Fed up of the power hungry politicians trying to squeeze every bit of juice from the situation. If they really care about their state they should just give their support rn so that a government can be formed. Later , they can oppose Vijay to their heart's content on ideologies and government operations. Rn it is important to form government before the stipulated time period passes and current election result is considered null and void.

Tbh, I do think the governor should have suggested or even invited for them to form minority government once he submitted maximum seat number certificate. Floor test would've failed probably but still it'd have been better than the situation rn. Parties with 1 or 2 MLAs are behaving high fi in front of him though his party is the one who won 107 seats because they know their support is very crucial.

In short, I've no idea how a decent solution can be reached in this situation that suits all parties and are in the best interest of people. Re election is not a matter of joke. It takes a huge amount fo resources and time to conduct an election in a state the size of TN. It shouldn't come to that.

Plus, lots of people came from outside to cast their votes. They can't reasonably do it again.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Vijay still can go and ask for a minority government as single party with maximum votes who would prove majority in floor test...but floor test is such a gamble which would bring only humiliation if it fails...and he might be thinking is it worth it?

But see with floor test, If u remember the same act by governor was criticized by SC. During Karnataka may be the governor gave 15 days for floor test . So SC asked Governors to conduct floor test within 3 days.

If within 3 days it is going to happen here in TN it's better to avoid isn't it?..A full fledged swearing in ceremony with floor test within 3 days...and God forbid failing in it....omg..

Infact this must be the precedent going forward. Declare MLAs support before u approach the governor. The chances for horse trading would reduce in this scenario... probably

As you said I cant wrap my head around parties with 1,2 seats asking for Deputy CM...and if Vijay agrees then....how unfair it would be to his own party....

Politics is a tough business man....

Yeah that's what I am liking in a way that no matter what the discourse is,he hasn't spoken a single word against or about the Governor...

And anyway Governor is the authority here so..there is no point in saying anything against him...and honestly...if he can't get majority now how would he get it within 3 days of swearing in for floor test....So Vijay also understands that floor test is not a solution atp...

And allies are really troubling him ..more than the governor....

Exactly.... This election has completely exposed every small party and their spirit of so called "service and welfare"...all are just power hungry who are trying to squeeze it unfairly...

And I also wish he had won just a few more seats...

Yes he definitely can still do that. Ask to form minority government but your analysis is correct , the situation would be precarious with a high chance of floor test failure. Like I said, rn I'm just clueless as to how this political puzzle will be solved. Congress is also doing shady stuffs like moving their MLAs around. Heard they're being shifted again. RAGA also canceled his trip to Chennai now that the oath taking ceremony is uncertain.

I agree with the declaration of MLAs before approaching the governor part. It also looks more .. dignified or should I say serious? Rn, lots of memes are flooding the social media based on repeated visits to governor house without a positive and definitive outcome. This is not a great look for a new party and future CM. also, this is making the small parties even more self important as they can sense his desperation .
