At the moment there is no government in TN..it is scary..also noticeable about how Vck and Muslim league pulled back their support and put forth more conditions..
He is visiting governor like 4 times a day like how i used to visit my hod to get sign in record note book and how she used to find errors everytime and send me back..
Tvk is currently in coalition with dmk only except that it has their allies and not actual dmk members

Looks like he will be sworn as CM tomorrow.
He managed 118 MLAs to form government.

Bro atp this is a nightmare. I think world's 8th miracle would be Vijay being sworn in as the chief minister đ«
Abhi se they are troubling him so hard toh imagine what would they do if by miracle Vijay swears in as the chief minister đ€Ł
If it's so tough for him now, then it's gonna be absolute disaster later....ufff .....

But why?
He is supposed to go with 118 MLAs signature right? So why is he going with daily progress report to Governor?... Even he himself knew that things won't work like this without 118 members...
Is this to create sympathy wave and triggering his fans and people in general...so that in case re-election happens , he would come with single majority....
Because this visiting governor everyday and putting all his cards out is not a good option...he would have just waited and asked other parties and may they would have given support...Now everyone knows Vijay has how many MLAs ,so the last man standing will be the kingmaker...and he would demand whatever would come on his mouth....and Vijay will have to fulfill it as there is not much options..

I think he thought Governor would allow him to form government since his party did won the maximum number of seats . And once the government is formed he'll be asked to prove majority in the assembly by floor test. Since there are precedence of such , it is not an entirely wrong notion to have.
But the Governor didn't agree without seeing the majority proof first . And so he started approaching him again and again with more number but not quite touching the magic number till last night. It's unfortunate that vck backed out or else today could've been the oath ceremony. But VCK can still agree by today morning let's see what happens. Rumors are they made quite a few egregious demands like post of deputy CM ! Truly outrageous if it's true .
Tbh, I agree with the governor's decision now , seeing all that unfolded since yesterday evening. If this is the state before government is even formed, no way stability could be maintained in the assembly. Better he strictly deals with the terms and conditions of support and chalk them out before taking the oath , rather than have the government dissolved post formation within a month.
Especially When there have instances previously of governments falling in a few days.Originally posted by: MannMeinRadha
Do people of TN understand now why the governor was insisting on majority proof even though a lot of people called him so many names, calling him BJP ka dalal ( ? They literally have zero stake in the state of TN.) , chamcha of center đ€Šââïž.
This is why a governor can never be hasty in giving the go ahead. See the kind of absolute political soup the state is in rn. Situation is getting from bad to worse.
Could be material for a great web series or movie though. I hope media content writers are furiously taking đ.
Karnataka and MH recently .
Honestly, atp , re election is looking like a better option for Vijay's TVK. If re election is done he can easily cross 118 , since his party is already popular and has mass support and public wants to see him as CM plus they now have more sympathy for him seeing his struggle.
Problem with Vijay is, he's lacking in political experience. If he'd ascended the ladder of politics from down up , he'd gather the necessary skills and experience that are crucial to run a state like TN with strength. These parties are playing with him simply. They know their support can break or make his government. He needs to deal with the situation firmly. This is his acid test.

Yeah but minority government is different na...He could have asked to form government as a minority government as his party got maximum number of seats...then you will have to prove majority in floor test...
And he didn't go like that..He went with Congress alliance proof..once you are going with alliance then you have to show majority..you can't form a minority government...
And I get why Vijay could not trust floor test as nothing exactly in your hand there and you can't really trust anyone there...
And yeah even I heard about the demands and deputy CM etc were outrageous demands...but unfortunately that's what it is... Politicians talk about "service and welfare" on the surface but ultimately it's a quest for power....
With all his cards out in open, every small party must be looking at themselves as potential kingmaker and their big opportunity to power...
Let's see... Vijay doesn't come with any prior experience in direct politics...so may be it is universe's way of telling him " This is what you are in for...and brace yourself".

Exactly! Initial approach itself was wrong.
Tbh, I do think the governor should have suggested or even invited for them to form minority government once he submitted maximum seat number certificate. Floor test would've failed probably but still it'd have been better than the situation rn. Parties with 1 or 2 MLAs are behaving high fi in front of him though his party is the one who won 107 seats because they know their support is very crucial.
In short, I've no idea how a decent solution can be reached in this situation that suits all parties and are in the best interest of people. Re election is not a matter of joke. It takes a huge amount fo resources and time to conduct an election in a state the size of TN. It shouldn't come to that.
Plus, lots of people came from outside to cast their votes. They can't reasonably do it again.
