Actually Vicky Kaushal has dates blocked for Love and War and the next mythological movie for 2 yrs i think.

In my mind, it is more a flaw than a forte of the current Hindi filmindustry to strive on sequals (stand alone ones or genuine ones) of former successful movies. It reaks of desperation to get money, laziness to try new things and a lack of originality.

Also, Hirani's storytelling slowly declined (imo) after a good Lage Raho Munna Bhai with first using an interesting and realistic book but making a quite unrealistic movie out of it. Then, he used the (good) satire of OMG to make an allegedly critical movie basing it on the constantly wide-eyed naivity of an alien. The white-washing biopic of a still living actor was only bearable (to me) because of Vicky's performance (it made me look for his other movies). Out of a quite critical Dunki, he then made - partly - a joke of the sad fact that Indians get lured into taking expensive English courses to profit from the wish to go abroad ( to earn more money than in India or for other reasons (= inconsistency in the storytelling).

At the moment, I've no good feelings for this sequal.

Actually Raju Hirani likes him as he acted n Sanju movie.

Hoping that it won't happen... I don't want Vicky getting reduced to a 'lucky charm'... not if his role isn't elevated in importance like it had been done in Dunki where he got the most important role in the first half (imo)... actually, I don't trust Aamir to take restraint in giving space to someone else... and Hirani, I doubt that he can 'put his foot down' when needed.
