They’re both very side characters energy people though and don’t have it in them to dominate the screen, besides, their aura is gone because people will associate them getting beaten with brooms or migraines from Anupam’s bhashans that use every adjective that her dialogue writers can find.

Tanya was no saint. Back when she was partner with ansh she fell in love with Karan during the acting , cause she saw how deeply karan loved N. So it's basically her seeing Karan's capacity of love and then imagined for herself 🤣

When noyona kind of person apparently big business woman can be pathetic due to mihir, mandira who had her brothers support can be psycho for mihir, tanya is nothing compared to them.

Karan didn't happily continued. Once his happiness gone that nandini was out of coma he felt guilty for ruining tanya and nandinis life now that he's married to tanya. And tanya was also crying being sacrificial mode. No one was happy. That's why nandini when she was like tanya was single she can marry someone karan didn't like it. And nandini also had her doubts way later

Post leap too tanya kept saying Nandini ayegi to main chali jaungi and we all saw what she actually did. She knew what she was getting into.

What is up with the production quality on the show, the bathroom Karan was in you could tell the counter was all cardboard and it was just a makeshift, the floor had a carpet and curtain on the side.

Isn't this the number one show, why is production not properly setting up the set and making it look like these Virani's are rich. Or is all the money going in all the characters they keep on adding and then not giving them proper storylines.

The jokes are obvious and we can do nothing about it but I couldn’t help but think… Tulsi’s first glimpse of Rio had her practically behaving like she saw a ghost or like she lost her mental balance. Her anger, her absolute disgust and the rage bubbling inside of her along with the pain that Karan had disgraced and disgusted her went for a toss with the shock that she received.

Karan has been looking at that face for years… he’s raised that kid as we know… his mental strength to not lose his mind should truly be considered exceptional. He did this to protect everyone and couldn’t even open up to anyone regarding his own emotions.

The question now is, if Tulsi’s reaction is this, I can’t imagine what Nandini’s reaction will be. I can’t remember what she did when she saw Eklavya, but I think she was naturally very terrified of him. There again she saw him as an adult for the first time if memory serves me right. But back then she had the cushion of him not being related to her. She could move past the trauma to see him as another person because Bhoomi existed and as a girl, Nandini didn’t see her father in Bhoomi, quite literally. She was also able to somewhat mellow her down and redeem her.

Here, Rio is most likely her son, I am 99.99% certain. Here, he’s the walking, talking reminder of the nightmare and trauma that she probably took years of therapy to simply stop thinking about though those thoughts must pop up in her head from time to time. Now, she must live with the fact that her worst nightmare has been reincarnated as her own flesh and blood. Even if she wanted to feel motherly affection for him, one look at his face and the thought dies immediately.

Shobha has her own trauma with Ansh - he got Vishal killed, so she might be another character whose reactions we can look forward to, provided the writers know that backstory and remember that detail.

Will be interesting to watch how his entry in SN shocks everyone who is around from S1.

Amar will be need to be at the top of his game because man has to pretend he’s looking at his dead son brought back to life, killed by his wife… when he never shot with him back then at all

They kept mentioning Ansh so much that it was given that some track related to him would pop up someday, but getting him back in the flesh was definitely a surprise.

Oh well, at least we will have some good acting onscreen with focus on people who can actually deliver rather than mindlessly watching simps like Ajay, wimps like Hrithik and logs like Angad accompanied by girls whose whole character is to look pretty but not have an actual personality.

Kyunki is about to explore some dark territory from the looks of it, as they justify its late night slot beyond nostalgia and I don’t just mean a look back into the gory past with Nandini but even more.

Again I am jumping in because I genuinely cannot agree with the way this is being interpreted. If we are saying lets stick strictly to what has been established in S2, then we need to fully commit to that and let's remove S1 dependency of Bhumi altogether.

Let’s assume for the sake of this debate that Karan cheated on Nandini and that she went into a coma (even though none of this is explicitly established in S2). Let’s go with that version.

Now if we actually look at the timeline presented in S2 things start falling apart.

In Episode 1 Mihir and Tulsi are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary. It is also established that Mihir's involvement with Mandira happened during his memory loss phase which was around the time Gautam was born. That would logically place Karan at least about a year younger than Gautam. So probably Gautam was around 37 and Karan would be around 36 in that first episode.

Now before the 6 year leap in S2 Parth is introduced and shown to be around 18. That creates an age gap of about 18 years between Karan and Parth which basically means Karan would have been around 17 - 18 when Parth was born.

It is established that Parth is Karan and Tanya’s child and if this happened while Karan was already married to Nandini, then logically Karan would have been in a relationship with Nandini atleast at 17 which effectively implies a child marriage.

Are we really saying that the Viranis who are always shown as socially upright and value driven would allow child marriage?...It's Illegal and this entire “Karan cheated Nandini with Tanya” narrative doesnot hold up when we apply S2’s own timeline.

Even if we stretch the numbers and assume Karan is 37 the math still does not work. That would mean he fathered Parth at around 18 - 19. So are we saying he was already married to Nandini at 18? Because that is the only way the “he cheated on Nandini” argument fits. And that itself creates another problem when Nandini was introduced, she had already completed her graduation. She was not a teenager. She was introduced as a journalist....So how does that timeline even align with Karan being married that early?

Then where does Ansh’s entire track fit into this? That was a major part of their story, and there is no clear way to place it within this compressed timeline without everything overlapping unrealistically. So whether we look at it from age, timeline, or character arcs the logic just doesn’t hold if we try to frame it as Karan cheating on Nandini within just the S2 setup.

Now adding another layer of Nandini’s recollection in day before yesterday's episode...She recalls her journey with Karan starting from their early interactions and in S1 he was introduced as someone who had completed his MBA....so he met Nandini around 22–23. That part of their timeline is still emotionally referenced.

But in S2, Parth is already 18 pre-leap and in his early 20s post-leap. That again disrupts the idea that Karan had a fully established married life with Nandini before Tanya came into the picture which is why if we strictly go by S2’s internal logic, a more plausible explanation is Karan and Tanya had an early relationship (possibly even a ONS) which led to circumstances that made him marry Tanya and that could position Tanya as his first wife in this version of the story.

Because that at least aligns better with the age math and avoids forcing a child marriage, marriage at 18 and all this timeline contradiction.

So again, my point is if we are choosing S2 as the base, then the “Karan cheated Nandini” argument does not just become morally debatable it actually becomes logically inconsistent. At this stage it feels like we are trying to fit an S1 narrative into an S2 framework that clearly does not support it.

Oh you made an important point. Thankyou, I had missed that. As per Indian laws, the minimum age of a male needs to be 21 and that of the woman needs to be 18 for the marriage to be legal. However if both parties are above 18, and male isn't 21 yet, his marriage can annulled by the male before he turns 21.

Now for a moment let's see timelines.

Assume Gautam was conceived on the very first day of Mihir Tulsi marriage (he has been mentioned shaadi k baad pehli santaan, so definitely he wasn't a "pre marital baby ". Aside as per the assumption, we need to assume that unless specifically mentioned, everything in this show season 2 happened as season 1. So definitely Gautam was conceived after Mihir Tulsi marriage.) Gautam was born when Mihir was supposed to be dead and Tulsi sees the dead body. Assume that Tulsi had a pre term labour seeing the dead body and Gautam was born 8 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage (it was shown that Tulsi was nearing full term and Mihir says Gautam shouldn't come out till the time he is back before leaving)

Now you take in season 1, by the time Mihir wakes up, Gautam had already started sitting without support. That happens around 7-9 months. Taking the lower side 7 months for the sake of convenience. So Mihir wakes up atleast 15 months after his marriage with Tulsi. Now even in this show it's not shown that Mandira and Amar/Mihir had a relationship while Mihir was still on hospital bed just out of coma, either case Mandira and Mihir at the earliest had this relationship at 15 months of Mihir Tulsi marriage, say Karan too was a premature, born 7 months months after this(Mandira sat in the 7th month Puja along with Viranis at the insistence of Savita, something they have shown even in this season.) Then Karan was born at least 22 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage

Now you take Mihir Tulsi were married for 38.5 years when Parth comes to transfer property, since this property transfer happened at max 6 months after the anniversary of Mihir Tulsi we saw at the start of this show, and after that the 6 years leap happened and they say they are married for 44 years, so considering the decimals, at max 6 months duration could have been there before Tulsi Mihir 38th anniversary and Tulsi leaving SN before the leap. Also Parth couldn't have done the property transfer unless he was he was at least 18, so Parth was born at max 20 years 6 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage. Now since we taking that unless specifically mentioned everything that happened in S1 holds true here, and both Manthan and Parth in S1 were full term children (neither was a preterm), so this Parth has to be considered full term as well, so being born 9 months after getting conceived, he was conceived latest by 19 years 9 months of Mihir Tulsi marriage. Karan born 22 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage, he becomes 17 years 11 months at the time Parth was conceived at the maximum (and that is assuming the bare minimal time for everything)

Karan married Tanya 2 years before consummation (as S1 has Tulsi scolding Karan for keeping Tanya at bay for 2 years), and say he married Nandani 1 month prior to that. So in both cases the Karan's marriage happened while he was not even 16 years of age and could not have done anything by himself (legally) even the consummation of his marriage happens when he was a minor on the insistence of his guardian.

Point to Note

While we might still say that only his first marriage with Nandani holds and Tanya's marriage with her was null and void, but Karan can by himself not be held accountable for this marriage and consummation. No court or moral judgement can prosecute a child for doing something he did as child on the insistence and pressure of his parents/guardians. It is the family and priest who performed Karan Tanya marriage who need to be punished. So if at all we say we need to accept everything that happened in season 1 unless specifically mentioned, then Karan was the victim here not the criminal/cheater. Tanya if was below 18 at the time of this marriage, then she too is a victim, else she was an adult making informed decision.

Also Karan returns to Nandani the very day Tanya had found about her pregnancy (as shown in S1, Tanya comes home and tries to tell about the pregnancy but before that doctor informs Nandani is awake), obviously she would realise that within a month, so Karan returns to Nandani (and doesn't have a physical relation with Tanya though he does meet her) after he becomes an adult. Second marriage isn't legal so there was no reason for Karan to annul that marriage once he was 18.

And the second leap of S1 doesn't hold here as they have shown Karan and Nandani have been together for years while Nandani raised Parth.

Hence he never cheated/did bigamy as an adult and what he did as a child was because he was the victim
