I think the problem comes from people who are mocking the religion and hate the religion using these terms as sarcasm. If you don't respect the religion or hate the religion, why use it? as simple as that.

people online are not respectful about it, using it to mock the religion.

True..In a mocking way..like Kunickaa Sadanand, Prakash Raj and many others say ‘Jai Shree Ram’

Is there a scientific study that proves this equivalence? Because as far as I know, Namaz is done while sitting in one place and has no other movements or requirements for breath control. Yoga has asanas, breath control is an integral part of the exercise and there is also a requirement that one not eat at least half an hour before and after they do a yoga session.

Is there any such requirement for Namaz? Are there breath control techniques required for the same?

Oh but I was perfectly civil and also exercised my freedom of speech to know exactly where might such an incident have happened that made you say such a thing.

Sigh.

Nope. Namaz needs no breathing exercises. But it needs you to stand, bend for couple of seconds, sit, go on your knees and prostrate twice and again stand, and do this about 4-17 times depending on which time of the day you are praying. And you do it 5 times a day, which totals to 40-45 times. Which is some movement for someone who lives a sedentary lifestyle.

Obviously I don’t have much knowledge about Namaz. But yoga has multiple health benefits. Plus yoga means union of body and mind. Connecting with our soul..our Aatma.

Got this reference picture from internet.
Disclaimer: its google, not me. So pls..all pro n against arguments should be directed there.

The sitting posture in namaz is similar to Vajrasana. Plus bowing down while sitting in Vajrasana is another asan or a variation of Vajrasana. That's all i can think of....
