Kdrama Spring Fever was such a vibe. A fun low stress watch, leads were cute. It was so funny and gave lotsa laughs. The male lead was was interesting, a softie with a tough exterior. FL was pretty spot on as the conflicted high school teacher. SML as the was handsome and good, his bromance dynamics with ML was so fun. Special shoutout to the cute pup for serving main character energy.

Started watching kdramas and loving them.

I am at chapter 163 ..it is at climax where wei yan is in jail and is about to reveal everything to tutor tao..until now there is no such scene in book..

In book there is not much importance given to princess..she is mentioned only for 3-4 times..so her giving fan changyu dress is not mentioned until now..maybe xie zheng will give her beautiful dresses by the end i guess..

There is not much gongsin - princess arc(just a little mention), princess dont visit army camp, she is not caught in fire,no butcher squad,emperor doesnt propose to fan changyu ..nothing of these is in book

But i can tell you that Xie zheng hates her being dressed in any form lol..IFYKYK 😆

All the army tent scenes are directly between xie sheng and changyu only..no disturbances between them

This novel has plenty of angst, love , general moments which they dint write for drama..fan changyu they wrote for drama is not even 1% of changyu of novel..all they made was unwanted kichdi

I completed the novel..they have grand wedding in the end

Such a wonderful novel ..gosh i am gonna miss it badly..i have bookmarked many good chapters..i am gonna reread them again

Upto chapter 165 is actual novel..it ends with grand wedding directly.. no mention of children..

You know there is scene in drama where they tie hair band to tree...in novel xie zheng takes her to budda temple at night makes her climb 60ft wall ..fan Changyu doesnt know the reason why he bought her here lol..he says it is lovers tree, write whatever you wanna write and hang it in tree..she hides her paper from him and scribbles something ..when xie zheng asks what you wrote ,she doesnt tell..they both throw that paper to top of tree so that others cant read their prayer

This biwi paglu after sending her back home,he comes back to temple,climbs that 60ft wall again and climbs that tree to trace that paper,sits on tree top to read what she wrote He is certificate biwi paglu

Extra 20 chapters hai with alterate story..i dont know uspe kya likha hai..i am yet to read alternate story

Xie Zheng is also written well in the novel, right? I think there was more insight into his feelings and actions in the novel than in the drama. I read a review that novel Xie Zheng was one dimentional but I think he's layered in the novel. Especially when she wanted to enlist under General He's army he was concerned but he did what he could within his power to ensure her safety. He's not too hot and not too cold, I prefer the novel ver more than the drama. For both Xie Zheng and Changyu. If I should call a version of Xie Zheng a scoundrel, I'd call the alternative ending one such a sneaky fox!

Xie zheng in novel was best😍😍 beast 😭 drama totally dint do justice to his character..totally rode on only ZLH beauty..they reduced him to just beautiful face..

After she enlisted and was on way to jizhou ,he literally gave up all his proud attitude and everything and begged to her as in why she doesnt like him and why she doesnt choose him 😭😭

Also he saved her in two battles at the nick of the moment ..in battle against changxi he was the one who shot arrow and in battle vs qi min,she was battling as 1 vs 16 people shadow warriors..he came right on the time and took her away like hero 😭😭😭

Too much for my heart to handle 🤭

The drama didn't do justice for both the characters. I loved the bear hunting scene especially the reaction of XIe Zheng to it the makers could bring a gyrfalcon and a pig to life via AI/robot they could have done it for a bear too

Tbh the whole military tent scene was well written in the novel. Idk what drugs the writers were on to write such scenes for the drama which didn't even contribute much to the plot.
