Just finished re-reading this chapter and I had to sit with it for a while before writing anything, because it’s one of those pieces that doesn’t announce its impact it settles into you quietly.
Hey again dear, firstly I am so over the moon that you actually re-read the whole chapter and not just the last part❤️
The way u described its impact, thank you so much 😊
The entire scene is built around Tulsi’s internal question “Will it last?” - and the way that question carries decades of history inside it. What an impact! 🙌🏼
Will Mihir be like this from now onwards or will his patterns return (not respecting her, taking her for granted, impulsiveness, anger) once she is back with him - that’s the real question for her but as I wrote no one can predict the future
Baa’s presence could have easily tipped into melodrama, but it doesn’t. You handled it so well. 👏🏻 It didn’t feel like a literal apparition and more like an emotional/spiritual intervention. Tulsi reaching for the one voice that has always grounded her. The line “Mera Mihir… ya tera Mihir?” is deceptively simple but reframes everything. It shifts the question from “has he changed?” to “what does he mean to you now?”Much harder question to answer tbh 😃😅
Baa’s presence was kind of meant to be Tulsis internal dialogue - her own reasoning with herself! It happens na ki when u have to take some decisions all alone you think about the one person who could have given u the correct advice- and if that person is no more, you keep thinking what advice would s/he have given me in this situation - that was my idea behind Tulsi imagining baa.
exactly that’s the question which tulsi has to answer to herself now and is totally unable to!!
Really beautifully done.👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you again dear. ❤️
