Hello friends, how are you all doing?

Please find chapter 2 below. I am sorry I took a very long time to write it . But I was trying to change something’s in the story and I was not able to figure it out. But now it’s sort of sorted lol. Now enjoy the chapter below lol

Chapter 2

Prarthana woke up with a significant headache. Despite the pain, she made an effort to look up and observe her surroundings.

Prarthana’s POV:

"Where am I, and why does my head hurt so much? I was just sitting in my room reading that book when I felt like it was pulling me inside. Now, I am in this magnificent room that looks like it belongs in a museum. How did I get here? Are Tanya and Gayatri playing a prank on me?"

She was shocked to realize she was wearing a beautiful lehenga. She had no memory of changing clothes and confirmed she was either in a museum or a room within a grand mansion. While she was processing this, a young maid entered to check on her.

"Ma'am, you are awake! Thank God," the maid said. "Let me call the doctor and inform the Prince."

After a short while, the doctor arrived and informed Prarthana that she was perfectly fine. Once the doctor left, Prarthana turned to the maid. "Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here, and did you change my clothes?"

The maiden replied, "Ma'am, I am a maid at the Vijaygarh Palace. You are a royal guest of our Prince. I did change your clothes because they had become soiled. I will now inform the Prince of your recovery and arrange a meeting."

"The Prince?" Prarthana asked in shock. She realized she was in a kingdom, yet moments ago, she had been in her room in Ahmedabad. It clicked: she had been reading a book about Vijaygarh and, just as the bookstore cashier had warned, she had been transported into the cursed kingdom. Panicked, she wondered how she would ever get back home.

The maid tapped her on the shoulder. "Ma'am, the Prince is waiting. He instructed me to take care of you and to arrange a meeting as soon as you woke up."

Prarthana’s anxiety grew. "A real prince? What will I say? How should I address him? Will he even believe me?" She knew that if she wanted to go home, she had to ask for help, but she worried about what he might ask for in return.

The Meeting Room:

A few minutes later, the maid escorted Prarthana to the courtroom, where Prince Shivansh sat upon the throne. The maid announced, "Your Highness, here is the guest," and Shivansh dismissed the maid with a wave of his hand.

Shivansh asked Prarthana for her name and origin, noting that she did not possess a Vijaygarh identity card.

"My name is Prarthana," she replied. "I am from Ahmedabad. I was reading a book about your kingdom and the curse when I was pulled into the pages."

Shivansh began to laugh. "What nonsense! You were pulled into a book? Tell me then, Miss Prarthana, what happens next?"

"Please trust me," Prarthana pleaded. "I just want to know how I can return to Ahmedabad."

Looking into her eyes, Shivansh saw her genuineness. He took a deep breath and sighed. After a long pause, he said, "I will try my best to help you. You may rest here in the palace until we figure out how to send you back."

Prarthana’s POV:

"Thank God the Prince believes me. Now, I just have to find a way home."

Another Location:

Later, Shivansh called for his most trusted friend and guide, Jay. He asked Jay to find an old woman named Pagli, believing she could help send Prarthana back.

"Shivansh, why are you seeking help from that woman?" Jay asked.

After Shivansh narrated the events, Jay remained skeptical. "I will go to her, but I wouldn't trust her to help a stranger. You know what she will ask of you. Are you truly willing to make a sacrifice for someone you don't even know?"

Prarthana longing to go back and worrying whether the Prince will ask anything in return of the favour was realistic. Even though shivansh was hesitant to believe Prarthana in the beginning glad that he agreed to help her.i loved him asking her to rest.Who is the old woman who can help Prarthana?is she a lady with magical powers?I am curious to know about what Jay said.what will the old lady ask and about what sacrifice is he talking about?
