Varun Dhawan reveals why dancing beside Salman Khan made him nervous in new BTS clip

Varun Dhawan has shared a behind the scenes glimpse from his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hi Hai, offering fans a look at the making of the song Vyah Karwado Ji. The video captures rehearsals, candid interactions, and portions of the dance shoot. However, what drew attention was Varun’s admission about feeling nervous while performing in front of Salman Khan.

Taking to Instagram, Varun posted the BTS clip where Salman Khan is seen visiting the set and reviewing the performance. The two actors also share a light moment during the shoot. Along with the video, Varun wrote, “Always nervous to dance next to India’s biggest kunwara #vyahkarwadoji bts,” hinting at his hesitation despite his experience as a performer.

The song, featuring Varun and Mrunal Thakur, has already gained traction online, with users recreating its dance steps. The visuals highlight a festive setup with energetic choreography. The makers appear to be positioning the track as a key promotional element ahead of the film’s release.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Kriti Sanon has joined Varun for a dance number in the film’s post credit sequence. The track, described as a large scale finale, was reportedly shot at a restaurant in Santacruz, Mumbai, and also features Maniesh Paul. Sources indicate that Kriti’s inclusion was finalised at a later stage to enhance the film’s closing segment.

An insider shared that the sequence is designed as a light hearted extension of the film’s tone. “It was meant to be a fun comedy track that captures the film’s spirit. The scene also has Maniesh Paul. Getting Kriti on board was an inspired choice, given her crackling screen presence with Varun in Dilwale [2015] and Bhediya [2022],” the source said.

Directed by David Dhawan, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Mouni Roy, Rohit Saraf, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Panday, Rajesh Kumar, and Kubbra Sait. It is scheduled to release in theatres on May 22.
