Whoever wrote the Wikipedia post with the word "propaganda", we won't know... What had been the motivation behind??? Initiate a s e r i o u s debate or something else??? Wanting outrage??? Wanting to fuel the dividing???

Initially, this word hadn't been in the genre enumeration, btw... just saying...

It is seldom the case for an encyclopedia to take biased approach and term opinion as "fact" in description of something

It is just that Islamists-leftists have occupied these places and they can't handle anything which doesn't align with their world view

For example -

Chak De! India is a fantastic movie but it has that "Hamari hocky mein chhakke nahi hote" line, said by SRK

Do we describe Chak De as transphobic? The transphobia is a fact although was a small part of movie, would they do it?

Raazi -

It was called propaganda by the writer of the book on which movie is based but because the changes were in line with what leftists want, they are fine with ignoring views of the man who wrote the book

Again, propaganda of Raazi is a fact said by the director

The motivation is simply intolerance for different views

There are handbooks for many things for human activities... there are also some how to instigate outrage and/or hype... even before social media existed, belief or political systems used concrete proceedings to start and further a wished outcome... some call it pr, but it is far more than that... it's a well crafted proceeding, creative and inventive with using all the possibilities at hand... one can learn it, study it... there are very-well paid experts for that... it is a constant adapting to the results one gets after each step towards the wished goal.

In a case of a movie, e.g., premieres are there to make certain changes according to the initial reaction... in former times, premiere viewings had to be done far longer before the release, nowadays, the changing work can be done much much quicker. The Dhurandhar premieres also had a purpose beyond earning additional money... those who have watched the premiere movie and later went again, may have to tell something about that...

Agree to bringing up this thought, but I won't point on a label like you do because I don't know for a fact who dit add this term later on (with the remark in [...] to make it a point of discussion).

So, I see your thoughts about the movies you named but won't make it a point of discussion for Dhurandhar by pointing at a solution... I prefer to ask questions... why had it been done??? and ponder about the different possible motivations... smiley1

That said, the word chhakke has multiple meaning... you sorted out one... as I don't know Hindi I have to relate on subtitles... and your interpretation wasn't mentioned... so, I would need the exact place in the movie and the context smiley1

@bold:- you're so right about intolerant leftists occupying these places & in biasedness tweaking facts based on their agenda about a certain thing that doesn't align with their world-view

As I'm not in favour of labels, I would agree to "intolerant"... this term is valuable for every 'direction' that occupies place "in biasedness tweaking facts based on their agenda about a certain thing that doesn't align with their" view...

Pointing the finger only to o n e direction, wouldn't that be biased, too???

I am sorry but you are being deliberately obtuse pretending as if you cannot simply look up the transphobic elements or association of it with Chak De

There are no other connotations, "Chhakke" is a transphobic slang and was used in that context to refer to the men hitting women from behind with a bat, mocking them for not being men enough

Anyways, that's not the topic at hand, nor do I seek to label anything, that was the point

An encyclopedia can't use "views of critics" as "facts"

They have unreal love for terrorists, I have faced that my entire life, with leftist's mother Arundhati Roy glorifying naxals in Chhattisgarh, she literally stayed with them to prove how nice they are while we lived our lives in fear, without basic infrastructure development

They are glorifying Hamas, Hezbollah etc. in middle east, Pakistanis terrorists in Indian subcontinent and other terrorist groups in parts of Europe and America

Look at how they protected Pakistani grooming gang in UK

You'd think normal human beings would be against terrorists but these sinister people relish in suffering of locals
