Personally, I don't like the term "propaganda" movie from a site that should not take sides... hence I posted what the website (Wikipedia) published as base to make this term a discussion point.
In between - thanks to valid protests - the term got deleted and also the part about historical accuracy got changed.
Those who see propaganda in the movie will stress - if they really want to argue and not only jump on a bandwagon - the points in the movie they see as propaganda which can lead to mature discussions where emotions shouldn't have a part.
I very much like Baradwaj Rangan's review. He analyses the movie, the art which went in it but leaves the judging about the content to the audience. Everyone who denies the success of the cinematic rendition may have been either already biased beforehand or didn't watch it.
The content is open to debate according to the own thinking and the knowledge one has about the factual events used. Dhar's cinematic prowess and the quality of the performances may be a subject of own preferences/impressions/engagement/emotions etc. but that he did a good work is undeniable, imo.
I respond to the article of The Wire in Wikipedia. I know you have just posted it,,,,,
