My god he was so innocent back then. SRK has always been kind to him.

I’m genuinely so happy that he has finally received the recognition from audiences across India that he deserved long ago. I had distanced myself from Bollywood forums because, after a few of his films didn’t perform well, the discussions there turned into constant mockery, both personal and professional.

Even now, with Durandhar 1, many were quick to push the narrative that Akshay overshadowed Ranveer. But Durandhar 2 clearly proves his acting prowess and reaffirms his potential to become one of the most sought-after actors in India.

I truly admire him, both on and off screen. He’s always unapologetic about praising others, celebrates others’ success, supports his co-actors, and when the camera is on,whether for films or stage,he gives his all purely to entertain the audience. Yet, people often expect actors to be role models rather than entertainers, wanting them to be overly restrained and “perfectly” gentlemanly.

These days, as he has mellowed down, I do miss his earlier energetic persona. But perhaps this more composed version helps him connect with a wider audience, even if it feels a bit less spontaneous.

Completely agree with this. I've always loved Ranveer's work but there was just something about his performance in this movie (only saw Part 1 on Netflix) that elevated him to a totally different level.

He totally deserves all the awards this time around. Truly well-deserved.

@bold: I know people always talk about his off screen persona and seem to be put off by it. But I like his chichorapan. I find it really endearing. I love the way he treats other co-stars and admires and celebrates their work.

And yes, I miss his energetic persona too. I don't like this mellowed down version of him.
