I understand but Ishqbaaz spinoff was announced at least 2 or so months before it went on air officially and then ironically it barely lasted 2 months. Here they’re airing the spinoff already and are announcing it later so seems like a stopgap arrangement to me for the time being until a new show can be announced to take over the slot.

These two don’t have the star power to get ratings even when they got main focus in the OG show’s second season, they are hardly gonna last long even as a new show’s main leads which has them away from the other Viranis where they can redo their one tone trip, fall, catch, stare, music romance.

Since, it's a continuation, they expect 75% viewers to stay.

They can expect but expectations hardly meet reality. Rohit was cast as apparently he had a popular show in Bhagyalakshmi on Zee which Ekta produced. He was simply lucky IMO because dude’s as wooden as a log when it comes to expressions.

He’s got some shows that have done well but that primarily are successful because he just happened to look good together with a heroine who is both beautiful and talented be it Tejaswi in that Sony show or Aishwarya in BL on Zee. TV is as it is a woman centric network so as long as the girls can act the show runs even if the guy is paler when he’s compared to her as long as they can look good together onscreen.

Here unfortunately Tanisha is in the same league as him when it comes to acting and while she’s pretty, she certainly doesn’t hold a candle to his previous two costars. So this is bound to burn and crash I think. The only question that remains is how fast.

Wouldn't it be good if the spin-off gave equal ss to all new generation couples other than Vridang like Munrik, Parth-Vaishnavi, Dev-Saloni, Paraj also the others?
