We have people here harassing North eastern students, who aren’t SC/STs by caste but still minorities.

The SC/STs who need actual protection are the ones living majorly in rural part of India.

For urban India, minorities or SC/STs are in good condition if not better than GCs.

There is no excuse for harassing anyone. Minority or SC / ST or majority.

India needs a development scheme for the under privileged. Reservations don’t solve this problem as that was proven since independence.

Also, in my experience, housemaids earlier had more than 2 children but now, they are opting for fewer children and giving them better education and lifestyle.

I read a report on fertility rates in India. In most states it’s dropping for Hindus. I don’t remember all but it’s healthy in UP, Bihar and some others.
