Looks like you have no basic idea about Hinduism...Vedas and Upanishads are the first religious texts which preached about God being one and also omnipresent...They say- God is. PERIOD....There is no other strings attached to it saying God is there, here, female, male, a thing..Hindus believe in God is one that's why they don't have a problem going to the church or mosque or any other religious place....
Hinduism is a polytheism. Plain and simple. There can not be any doubt that not only our religion puts emphasis on polytheism, it again and again enforces the importance of various deities , their places , what is the importance of such a system. It heavily emphasizes upon various methods of worship be it fire rituals aka yagna, japa ( recitation ) , dhyan ( meditation) , puja of either symbols or idols or iconography. All these methods have their own place and importance and no one method can trump over other.
Not just many Gods , we worship many other beings ,like Demi Gods, various avatars, animal spirits, many other lower spiritual beings like Yaksha , Gandharva, cohort of companions of our main Gods . This is a vital part of our religion. We worship the land, we worship divinity, we worship mother Ganga, we worship the cow. We worship all forms of energy and nature in all it's manifestations.
Our religion only said there's one infinite divinity . Never said there's one Supreme godly being . That very idea is anti Hindu and stands against everything our religion stands for. It is not allowed or accepted to say things like there's one almighty father God aka Parampita in our religion. Our religion doesn't conflate one God with another and say they're all just one God.
Our religion considers divinity one only as one unbroken existence but never said there's one God. It's a fundamentally Abrahamic concept, that has no place in Hinduism.
We say Kali is Vishnu and Vishnu is Kali yet we say they're also very distinct and different supreme divinities. Same for Hari and Hara. ( Lord Shiv and Lord Vishnu ).
It's like saying we're ONE family while putting emphasis on different family members.
Let's not conflate them as one.
Our religion never allowed presence of other faiths in places of our worships and rituals. Presence of any non practicing person ( mlechha , we even have a specific term for it . ) destroys the result of Yagnas and anger the Gods, ruins the sanctity of holy places and makes them unfit for worship. Many hindu religious texts mention once a non Hindu enters your house ,you must discard all items of worship including the idols because Gods will not accept your puja through them anymore, they've become impure and unfit for worship.
Please do your studies and stop spreading wrong information about our religion and practices.
