Don't think any difference would happen. Arjun is always angry and Sameer holding onto his pride
Also i wonder since Arjun zyada dimag lagata hai he could dive into the case more. Become obsessed with it. Or maybe when he investigated he didn't find anything, his anger boiled more. And he refused to go back to case years later. And forced to see his own mistake.

Also another thing
It's established fact that Arjun is a bad boss. So I would imagine his team suffering more due to his issues. Imagine the shouting in that office, all of them would be anxious. Riya would be too timid and no crush there.
I think his team getting hurt during some case cause arjun was busy in some drama might force him to step down as SIC and letting sam handle chief role. Lots of possibilities
Maybe I read this fanfic or i was thinking about this idea - what if Sameer being angry is just a facade. He's the one who silently protect Arjun and arjun has no idea? That would be interesting story I guess
