Iranians wanted this. Most of the Iranian Americans mass voted for Trump for this. Even many Afghan Americans voted for trump to take taliban. I didn’t agree with them voting and thought it would go nowhere for trusting him, but I am glad it at least worked for Iranians. Many of them have been begging USA to attack Islamic republic for years. Ofc, Trump didn’t decide now to attack IR just because of them. America and Israel can’t breathe without bombing countries and killing innocent civilians yet US will claim to be the “good guys” and Israel as usual will play the victim. The people who celebrating kids being slaughtered in order to “liberate” women in Iran are either ignorant, naive or just pure evil. May god help us all.

War is never a solution for anything. It is such a destructive force and causes so much human tragedy and environmental destruction. It also does not address the root cause on the pretext of which nations go to war.
And like you aptly mentioned, the days of dialogue and diplomacy don't even seem to exist anymore. However that remains the only effective means to resolving conflicts and addressing the root cause.
