Not many changes are expected across the board. India will likely stick to the side that featured against the Netherlands, with Axar Patel likely to replace Washington Sundar. SA, too, are expected to bring back Lungi Ngidi, who is bowling on the practice pitches, Firdose Moonda tells me. Corbin Bosch might also get the nod over George Linde, given India have several left-handers in the side, and with dew a possible factor.

Mustafa : "As an Afghan fan watching cricket early in the morning from Washington, DC, I truly believe that in this World Cup, the only team capable of challenging mighty India is South Africa." -- Well, we are about to find out tonight...

Sanket: "Hopefully Axar was just resting in the last game, Yes SA has lot of left handers but Axar has a very good match up with Markram and also can be dangerous against both Brevis and Stubbs. He is a bit different from the orthodox left arm spinner, his with arm deliveries targeting stumps are hard to play and this is where the weakness of Markarm and co lies." -- Markram, in particular, has struggled against him. But this is a Markram who is asserting himself across the game, despite an ever-expanding brief.

The Super Eight is here, and our Tactics Board is here too. What will South Africa's bowlers look to do? What might India need to keep an eye on? And how crucial could Markram be tonight? All those questions answered here.

Zayan: "Since Tilak is out of form and India have an all left top 3, Y not bring in samson for tilak to see how things go??" -- Not sure Tilak is out of form as such. He has looked a little scratchy but is India's second-highest ranked T20I batter. Also, Samson was undergoing a wretched run before being dropped.

India and South Africa are two of the three teams with a 100 percent record at this T20 World Cup, and that means this could well be the final before the final. Sidharth Monga sets the scene beautifully in his preview.

Sport changes. Every minute. Every second. And yet, there are some moments that stay. Moments that either offer perspective, or the pure, unfiltered joy of winning.

June 29, 2024, was one such moment. India and South Africa. T20 World Cup final. Two unbeaten sides. Two countries craving a world title, while carrying the baggage of coming close but falling short. One found redemption. The other did not. One scripted the perfect fairytale ending. The other, having poured their heart and soul into it, forced to wonder what perhaps should have been.

And so, from that bright and blazing Barbadian day, cacophonically joyous for one and poignantly heartbreaking for the other - the memories of which will still be candidly reminiscent for some and the wounds of which might forever remain for others - to this coliseum of cricket, where the past will count for little, and where the present cries out to be seized.

Makram is dangerous. He’s capable of taking centuries if he settles in. Usko Pehle unsettle karna padega!

India, reigning champions, at home, the team to beat, and aspiring to go where no side has ever gone; South Africa, unblemished at T20 World Cups since 2024 bar that emotionally jarring Bridgetown experience, itching to show that this time, the peak they stare down is indeed surmountable.

A blockbuster clash. Between two world champions. With the whole world watching. At a venue very much steeped in the seismic moment today could end up being, especially with a score to settle for one, and a proud title to defend for another.

Kind of true. India has always been battling with teams that are less …. experienced & mostly having less fire power than them. South Africa can match India person for person. Makram for SKY, Ngidi for Arshdeep, Jensen for Bumrah, Bosch for Hardik, so and so forth. They are equally poised & frankly an hoga takkar ka match!
