Bold - yes he is saying it to convince himself. Glad Mohit showed him aaina.

Loved Pushpa today. Her praising Arya and giving him all those tags felt like the writers took them from social media and this forum. She actually said what we all have been saying.

Loved that Pushpa finally took a stand for her daughter’s happiness. Although she should have done this a long time ago

Also I absolutely loved the mohalle wale taunting Gopal. He deserves it. Things got worse because of his stubborn behaviour. Him denying his daughter’s obvious love and relationship with Arya was just horrible.

We all are always looking at his behaviour towards anu Arya but his behaviour towards Mohit was more disturbing. He was trying to con that poor guy. This guy knows that minutes before her wedding his daughter has gone missing with Arya. What kind of girl that isn’t forced/unhappy goes to meet her ex minutes before her marriage. He knew this yet had the audacity to deny it in front of Mohit who very rightfully broke things off.

Gopal sach mein day by day is becoming Arturo ( Money Hiest) character of TSTT. Irritating beyond limits.

Wat is wrong with TRPs of this show. Why this show trp never cross 2.0 humesha kaise 1.9 pe atak jaata hai? I hope ekta isn't scamming trps like she used to do earlier to keep her shows on top.

Gopal is a really annoying character. What’s more annoying is that he hasn’t really done anything of substance in his life to have such hubris. In the Marathi version although the father was against the match his reluctance seemed justified. He even gave a series of reasons apart from samaj kya lagega to Arya as to why he didn’t agree. He talked about his health issues( Marathi version Arya had diabetes), he was worried what would happen to his daughter if Arya died early, also he talked About how Arya wouldn’t blend with Anu’s peers and friends due to age difference and vice versa, he also said how are you going to raise your kids in a older age. These were very valid concerns that he expressed.

But with Gopal his stubbornness seems to be some kind of ego hassle he has faced

Although naagin being in the top 5 seems a bit suspicious cause no one seems interested in that show. No one talks about it and there aren’t even many posts regarding it on social media. Atleast ksbkbt is a classic show.

I also have a new thought.

Maybe Gopal is the male version of Ishwari ( the mother in Kuch rang pyar Ke aise bhi (who was essentially jealous of her daughter in law and had some really unhealthy emotional attachment to her son))

Maybe that’s why subconsciously he has always picked wrong boys for marrying his daughter like Bipin,Neel and Mohit. Guys he knows wouldn’t keep his daughter happy. So that she comes back to him with her problems even after her marriage

Maybe that’s why he has a problem with Arya cause he realises that Arya is 100 times a better man than he ever could be. That he would definitely keep his daughter happy. And once she is married to him anu wouldn’t need her papa for every little thing as she does now.

Naagin log online zyada dekhte hain. This is wat surprises me how come it tops above tstt.

I haven't watched that serial but this is an interesting angle to look at Gopal and I like the POV

To me this seemed like An interesting and rather logical angle to look at the behaviour Gopal has been showcasing since he found out about anu and Arya . Nothing in his behaviour really indicates a concern for his daughter and her future.

His anger, outbursts and him screaming at Mohit in yesterday’s episode all made me feel that anu choosing Arya has bruised Gopal’s ego in some way. That he seemed insecure, maybe even jealous of Arya

It is more simple than this. He just want his decision to pass . He is a controller. Nothing more.
