I think this might be true given that Noina was fretting over this exact thing in the precap.

This could be Ran’s get out of jail card when the watch worn by Suhas is ultimately traced back to him and by extension the accident meant to kill Tulsi where Mihir nearly died.

They obviously needed someone to expose these two hence the conversation happened finally after 6 years in SN. Stands to reason that the only person to overhear them would be not a Virani.
