Respectful kind emotionally available men work in stories, in fact they are the one who stand through the test of time. Even in current times, when Deepak from lapata ladies is shown it works perfectly and he doesn't need the glam, money or any religious tones. Kahan hum Kahan tum was the most popular show in India too (among the pak dramas), and it worked because the guy had issues BUT disrespect towards his wife wasn't one of them. He fought with his entire family for her. He'd not even listen to one word against her, and that's why it was so popular

Recently old movies are re releasing and they do pretty well. Because they show us a lost aspect which we've missed. Veer Zara is considered still the epitome of romantic movies, because Veer doesn't need to be a di*khead to be impactful. Even now, a good green flag ML will work if they're written well. It'll take more effort because you can't use flashy ideas, money, religion, outfits to distract, but it's very much possible.

Allow me to give two examples.

1. They used this " Ram Ram Jai Raja Ram ." Song or chant with Mihir Virani . It was always used with Tulsi Mihir from the very beginning of season 1 so initially it was ok when they used it for season 2 because yay continuity ! And it made me nostalgic of old KSBK. But since then , whenever they use it for this EMA Mihir who is a cheating cheater who cheats I want to punch the TV set . Like , baksh do Bhagwan ji ko.. Mihir literally stands for all the opposite values and ideas Raghunath Ji stands for. He didn't even look at another woman in his lifetime. Why're are you using his chanting on this disgusting man ?

2. They used to show Ganapati ji's music and support towards Virat Chavan , another cheater lier abuser man hore who tortured and betrayed his literally Goddess Sati like devoted wife. Everyone in the forum used to feel super annoyed about it. You can not use God to create a better version of your zero I mean hero in the minds of viewers. Kuch to sharam kar lo CVs ! Bhagwan ko to baksh do !

Oh ! Don't even start me on rich men and how it is perceived hot for them have an attitude because society still believes men are good with attitude while women are not , rich people are good with attitude when middle class and poor people are not. So making the hero rich and he's a man already justify him being a grade one douchebag.

I think some women do suffer under the delusion that they can change a man who is fundamentally an arse . Fix him with their loving guidance. But it never happens in real life . Never ! And no woman sticks around after a while . They leave and nowadays they also leave with a sizeable amount of property in alimony which is what these men deserve.

Society itself needs to move away from the idea that bad boys are sexy. Um.. They're not. There's absolutely nothing sexy about being unkind and misogynist. Being a good guy , a kind sorted human being is the sexiest quality in a man . It instantly adds shine to even an ordinary man.

These are the qualities that need to be portrayed more and more on our TV screens. Reality should match the world they inside our TV sets atleast somewhat.

It's just repackaged shit in 90% cases. Society justifies its flaws and shortcomings by glamorizing it. Men are kachra the way they're raised, have always been. And until very recently women had NO option but to put up with one. There's a reason every culture is so strong on "obeying your husband/father". This is the first generation where women don't necessarily need men for survival and men are getting rejected because of that (hence all the incel movements everywhere).

So of course we've these shows, movies, 'literature', tradwife influencers telling how HOT these men are. How attractive these 'complex' men are. And tbf to them it's working. By the time women realise what's going on it's too late for most of them.

So I just saw one scene, Vikram Aryaman. Arya really sees as other people just existing for his comfort. Radhika, Vikram etc even the people he CLAIMS TO love are for him to use in whatever way he wants. To support him. They've no existence of their own. The moment anyone doesn't behave the way he wants, he shows his true colors. And the worst thing...HE THINKS HE IS RIGHT. HE THINKS EVERYONE ELSE IS AT FAULT. HE THINKS OF HIMSELF AS A RIGHTEOUS PERSON. He's practically the same as his adoptive family. Doing everything for their own. Fake suris have shown times and again that they're not even loyal to the changistan, they're for themselves.

So he can marry ahana, and Vikram should let it slide because they're "friends" but he didn't care about the friendship when he married Ahana! The hypocrisy!!! This dude actually deserves death. Him marrying ahana is a choti si baat but radhika marrying someone else is something for which he can do anything, including stalking people, label every women as gold digger. He doesn't really see Vikram as his friend or equal.

And I thought I couldn't hate Arya anymore... But here we are. This manipulative cunning ahole! I'm disgusted that someone like him is even around ahana.

To make it look like Vikram was wrong they'll make him some saanp nevla or make him do something crazy evil which will make Arya betrayal look like it's deserved.
