I find it strange that Ajay hasn’t dropped by to see Mihir yet in the hospital.

Also we don’t know if Karan and Nandini have been even informed about Tulsi’s return, Mihir’s accident despite Agent Dhurandhar in SN. They should at least show a scene with Tulsi talking to Karan once on the phone even if all we have is a one sided conversation owing to Hiten’s busy schedule or they can do what they did with Shakti, get a green screen scene.

Also crazy that none of Mihir’s brothers stopped by to see him either not even a call. Hemant, Kiran can argue over who is a better brother to Mihir but don’t bother showing up when he’s hospitalised. Strange way to prove brotherhood.

I don’t think Pari is being shown wrongly here at least in terms of her going out with Garu. Not entirely. Usually such young kids are very impressionable, Garu is bound to notice if Nanu is not home and if she were to ask or hear from someone about him then she would be very upset and it would be very difficult to handle her.

Parents take care to try and keep such young kids away from the tension as much as possible hence Garu goes to school, is taken out for play dates so she can be kept distracted and tired out to realise something so big has happened to her Nanu.

If this had been Garu’s dadu, it’s possible that Garu would’ve shifted for a while to the Virani house so that Pari can help her in-laws take care of her FIL as much as she can, while Garu is kept away from all the stress at Nani’s. Tulsi or someone from the family would pick her up from school and take her to classes or whatever. Pari would come by at least once a day or so until this arrangement is required.

Garu might not even know what’s going on and may be told she’s to stay at Nani’s for a while as Nanu Nani and everyone misses her and wants to stay with her. How Madhavi, Timsi and Akshay wanna have sleepovers with her and they can build a pillow castle or something in the living room of the house with the help of her huge family at Nani’s. Kid would be absolutely chuffed about the whole thing and not even want to go back home.

But since that’s not an option here this is how they’re showing Pari keeps Garu distracted and is protecting her from the stress, and in the process getting a break herself from everything and also rekindling her relationship with Ajay wherein she’s finally waking up to see what she was too blind to see and understand all those years ago.

Please cast a decent actor, if Rannvijay's role is increasing, this guy just can't act!

I think she will juggle things as and when she needs per the circumstances. We can’t say she’s out of the political game for good either. Not given she attended some BJP event in Surat yesterday, not when she attends WEF conferences in Davos in her individual capacity even though she no longer holds an official position in the government at Centre. Certainly not when she goes to Chatham House in London. Someone who reaches these places doesn’t fall off the political radar for good nor can they ever completely retire and become irrelevant to world politics and affairs.

I personally think it’s a strategic move to come back to TV for her political career too. See, she can raise awareness about topics like men being falsely accused of domestic violence cases and women misusing the laws, can raise awareness about other things as well as and when the time comes to help prepare for more gender neutral laws by getting the conversation started between the masses. People are already talking about these issues but much of it is on Twitter and let’s be real less than 10 percent of our population is on Twitter. Else you wouldn’t see anyone else from a mile away on any social media platform. Political debates on news channels are so annoying most people tune out as soon as someone starts yelling, and someone always does. So a show can do a lot in a more subtle way than these things. It’s also why Kyunki as a brand was revived too as it has nostalgia, recall value and an already established fan base around the world of all ages. Smriti could have easily worked with her previous colleagues in a brand new show but it would have taken more effort and energy to establish it with no guarantees of return, which Kyunki ensured was not the case. It was a safe bet. Also Ekta had already burned her hands once with KZK reboot with a new cast and no results to show for the revival.

Smriti was also accused of becoming arrogant by her opponents and some others. This way she can prove that she’s not arrogant, since if that were the case she would think of it as beneath herself to return to the small screen especially now when it’s competition is OTT, social media and global content. It’s in a way shrunk and become even smaller and less relevant than it was back when she first did Kyunki as Tulsi.

She would not quit politics and get back to it when it’s the right time.
