Vikrant Yuvi situation reminds me of how he used to be with Neetu, separate rules for selective people. Remember how he used to say sorry on Neetu's behalf rather than making her say sorry but if she used to get upset then he used to make sure that others apologize to her. He used to find Neetu's abuse and erratic behaviour as cute and care, same he is doing with Yuvi. This entire comeptition biasedness situation explains the Mannat plot where Yuvi represents Vamps and Dua represents Mannat. How Vikrant always stays biased to vamps due to status and how Mannat always had to prove herself. Same is happening, Vikrant will keep giving leeway to Yuvi while Dua will have to go through extremeties. There is no way in hell this man will be able to keep balance between two kids, even if truth comes out. Thats why I hope Yuvi exits when his time comes.

What you see as 'selective proof' ... I see it as class bias. I am not saying Vik does it intentionally like others do... but he does it subconsciously...

Thats why he doesnt ask for proofs from Malla, Aish/Arzoo, Yashika or even Vishakha (since she belongs to the family and must be rich at some point).

Mannat and Dua on the other hand are poor. So was Derek and Shalini who had to prove themselves.

Vik was always told that people want something or other from him and its most often money or something money can buy. And he has seen those people around him who get excited when he showers him with gifts. By that logic, they must be loving him for himself since they have everything else.

Mannat is an aberration... she was proposed with a simple necklace and she agreed. Vik hasnt understood yet that Mannat loves him for who he is... with all his good and bad. She doesnt want anything from him except trust and love.

That's the trust she was hoping for on the wedding day (as his wife BTW) which he couldn't give her. He chose to believe the alternate version (from Vishakha) that Mannat was 2 timing him with his brother for his riches. That tag of GD also came from Vik for the first time. And he still repeats them again and again even though Mannat has done exactly the opposite.

And in case you or anyone thinks I am just making it up... there are hints in the writing. It will be proven when Ys truth is out.... or Yuvi rejects Vik for his bankruptcy (if that occurs .. I hope it does). Why would YY need to be so money obsessed if its not to show Vik who the wolves are in sheep's clothing??? Who are the actual gold digger?

My interpretation (especially how leap has been built is) Vikrant is suffering because of his own actions and his idiosyncrasies... whereas Mannat is suffering because of her one mistake where she took a decision on Viks behalf... albeit for his own good.

Thats why she is calm and composed and looks moved on ... something similar to what you said the other day. Mannat accepted her fate since she tried everything pre leap. Where as Vik is stuck because he has not processed it yet.

All the truths that Vik knows and believes he was lied to are out... there's nothing more Mannat can add to it. Hence he is the one who needs to first accept that he went wrong somewhere... correct on that and start his redemption.

The truths that he doesnt know yet may play a big part in helping him do that. See what he was refusing to see. His redemption can only begin once he understands where he went wrong and how that cascaded into the larger mess.

I love discussing with you but I dont want to get into another round of ML vs FL... so lets just end it here.

Ummm good question. I didn't think about whether this could be a trap. Thought their interests aligned at the moment but can see now it could also be a trap. They did figure out she is the one who made Yuvi think of running away.
