Episode # 4: Vishnu ka chata avatar

Episode starts off with Shalini angrily packing tiffin boxes for the kids while they sneakily discuss about their pa's drunken act the previous night . Shiv sheepishly tries to apologise but Shalini's looks like she would devour him if he dared to speak. She serves him coffee but he wants liquor chai like always. There is afun banter between the miya biwi starting with 'sorry mrs.deshmukh' and ending up with Shalini shoving hot coffee down his throat . Kids are damn cute.. not judging their dad and also teasing him about drinking 'medicine' the previous night 😍 They love their dad so much 🥰

Parshuram on the mission.. making the taklu goon spill some beans about some 'plan'. Loved his action throughout. His change of tone when he receives a call about their laundry is hilarious . He goes to the shipyard with his colleagues as there is information about a drop off. While waiting there, Chintu calls him and demands to pick them up asap. Shiv is delighted to talk to him and wipes his tears probably overwhelmed by the innocence and simplicity that they bring in his life😍. Chitu demands pencil, sharpener, etc and Pihu demands color sets while he is still on the mission. His colleague suddenly rushes to his side and calls him Parshuram.. Pihu hears this again and is confused.

Shalini's family has too many people and I am not sure who they are yet. I understood that they all dislike Shiv for being a common man and blame her mother for inviting him to the party. Nandini, may be Shalini's sister.. not sure.. confronts them that they don't know how to judge people.

Precap: looks like Shalini is hiding something from Shiv and the children.. they demand to be told the truth if she is hiding something.

Aacha episode tha! Little bit of intrigue and some domesticity, right balance! I hope they maintain this!

With your updates shall catch the episode in the evening. If Shalini is also a spy then it's going to be more intriguing

I am myself thinking why and how Shalini loved him....he is definitely wrong in many areas anniversary bhul jaana party mein tamasha late and all everytime....even kids are getting affected though they love him... Common man matlab ye thori na hota hai not of the multimillionaire status his in laws possess still can stand up to basic expectations of wife and society....

I am not connecting to Shiv hope so kuch bada reason not like multiple personality disorder ya phir making other side more negative....it will take few more episodes to understand the overall concept kuch bada hone wala hai....

They should add subtle touch asap....

I had the same thought while watching this show the other day. I am yet to watch today's episode, but I was not impressed by Shiv's action or dialogues other day!

I mean, I understand that Dixits may have criminal links and all, but still think about your wife, who had been begging him to be on time and to do bare minimum of being presentable.

I feel whole idea of common man is skewed at this point. Promos did excite me, but storytelling and flow is bit disappointing! I can understand leading two lives but I feel atleast wife should have been aware of her husband's second life; would have made much more sense. Also, two lives need not be soo contrasting, I wish there was some balance. Common man can be ignorant of social issues but not necessary be so clumsy and always with umbrella and so meek. There is a way to present these differences.

Personally, I like Parshuram scenes way more than his scenes with his family and those whole clan of Dixits. Mostly because Shivprasad is not convincing as a good husband as the quoted person mentioned.

Also actors (except for Neil and Mahi) are little too off. FL doesn't look like mother of two kids at all (but she is gorgeous!), and her family has couple of well-known faces, but for some reason their performance is blah.

Can they please stop moving camera? It hurts the eyes. I liked today's episode too. Good pace, seems Dixits have been hanging with some secrets too. What is Shalini hiding has to be seen....

It looks like only Shalini's mom and sister are sane while the rest of the family members are egotists and blinded by their wealth. I guess there's something fishy about them too as Nandini told her kaka that one day he will fall and might need Shiv's help. And, she tells her father he's so proud that he doesn't know who's right and who's wrong. She was the only one who had the guts to stand up against the whole family.

I feel the same, balance and flow is weird by makers....and Shiv is somewhere irresponsible for his deeds.....but I don't have problem with actors it's the overdramatic narratives and execution....hope so they rectify such areas....

I was laughing when promo came and Shiv was hum ek parivaar hain kuch nhi chhupate pls bata do.....Sambhavi is young par mere liye ok ok for role of mother...

Maybe such agents hide things from their wife too....it's illogical still kuch toh....I have seen such PPL from lower middle class but ye thora jyaada hi hai....It will become connectable with passing time as story progresses definitely they will make changes...

Agree it was so bad! and the BG sucks, compared to ghum experience. I like only that hadiyappa music when Parshuram is in action mode.

Overall loved Neil in this role. He is looking super handsome and confident. Acting wise he is good except that he is fumbling during the transitions. He is rocking action and romance. Comedy is going ott which i think will settle down once he gets comfortable. I like Shambhavi too. Again she has too much body language which I hope will settle down. Chemistry is there for sure!

I am thinking Parshuram has layers. There is something he knows which we dont know. I am feeling like he married shalini also with higher purpose. However he loves his family genuinely. There is an awareness in him that he is "superhero" but he is also "human", especially when his kids and wife talk lovingly to him. He tears up with his kids and feels guilty when shalini is loving to him right? I think there will be huge emotional conflicts going forward. I have so much faith in bengali writers. That is the main reason to watch this show.

Shivprasad aka Secret Spy Parshuram is a much better ML character compared to other toxic ML characters shown on SP channel.To the outside world he's just a normal everyday man trying to make ends meet but in the outer world he's a secret agent dedicated to protect both the society and the country from anti social elements.

He's a devoted dad to both his children Chintu and Pihu while his mate Shalini despite coming from an elite background is a devoted housewife managing the family affairs.

Unlike other toxic ML characters who won't pass the opportunity to belittle their wives presented as some sort of an evergreen love story Shiv's character depicts realism and the everyday struggles of a common guy.

Shiv despite being a Spy is not that much clever like Tiger or Pathaan or even sly/cunning like Agent Hamza of Dhurandhar but makes up for the same by trying to be a capable spy who's out to save the country including the world.

He's quite sloppy who left his cellphone open while fighting with those goons which is why his daughter Pihu could clearly hear the gunshot sounds from his silencer embedded weapon.Even in Shalini family's engagement ceremony he thought that he would make up for being late by doing a wild dance which unfortunately backfired on him.

Shalini was quite offended with Shiv's dumb dance performance and alleged that she felt humiliated in front of her family members.Shiv's in laws don't like Shiv due to his normal middle class background.

Shalini also defended her spy husband from her snobby friends and family too.As both a mother and wife despite being strict she wants the best for both her children and family.

Shalini's family thinks that their son in law is a joker bcoz Shiv wants to hide his secret and thus pretends to be a common man but fails comically bcoz his mind is not trained that much to balance the two contrasting personalities.

However he has so far managed to keep his spy secret hidden from his wife Shalini right from the college days itself.And there's a perfect logical reason to hide the same bcoz then his enemies would target not only his family which could put his mate Shalini and his children in the crosshairs but perhaps endanger the secrets of the organization too whom he's working for as an agent.
