Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the 2026 T20 World Cup because of his back injury, and Ben Dwarshuis has replaced him in Australia's final 15. Matthew Short, meanwhile, has been dropped and has been replaced by Matt Renshaw on form, and there is no place for Steven Smith.

So, he may not be available for IPL either which is just 8 weeks away.
