I’m glad that they’re showing them working now. See my issue never was about anyone or even all of them being homemakers. The Viranis were certainly rich enough to afford enough staff to run their place but what was strange was that none of the characters, including men, were explored as individuals.
I mean in such a huge family I don’t recall any single person being shown passionate about a hobby like say writing, painting, photography. No one had interest in going to gyms, yoga classes, aerobics. For the life of me I don’t recall a single man on this show ever having a gaming console of any kind.
Even if you don’t need to work for a day in your life because you’re filthy rich, how do you not get bored? How is it that you have no hobbies, friends or passions to help you kill your time? Movies and music only got mentioned if Ekta was producing the movie and it was coming out, the channel had collaborated with some popular actor, else they never so much had a stray reference.
No one with health struggles… I mean even Ambanis have a son who openly struggles with his weight. We all saw him getting married for a year
