Vikrant part I don't agree
Haiii soft corner for the BEWA_POOF now???
I still don't see this lie thing. đ. The character as a mother made a choice, thinking about what is best for her daughter. Nothing wrong in that. And the man she chose to be her father has done justice to that role. [To be honest, I love this part of the story: two people coming together to raise a child with no conditions and expectations from each other -- it can make such a beautiful story in another show].
Yes, Dua will react for sure (if Vikrant reacted, why would she not) -- And, we are expecting that because Vikrant is back in the picture. What if he had never found them -- he was not looking for them (again divine intervention made them meet)?
My point is even without Vikrant in the picture a lie is a lie
Atleast own the lie that I made a choice for my daughter , instead of saying it's Babaji's decision that Dua called him baba
. Mannat presented DK as baba to baby Dua and she followed the suit, simple.
Imagine if Ronnie didn't walk in that day these 2 were planning to lie forever. It really doesn't matter that they agreed to Ronnie after they were overheard since we know it's not about baby Dua anymore, it's about grown up Dua aswell they were planning for after what happened pre-leap đ
I will quote what Shazia pointed out, children act based on surroundings đ đââď¸đââď¸
I am seeing perspective of both Mannat and Vikrant instead of being unconsciously biased against either of them

Vikrant part I don't agree
Witty
I agree with RD at the moment đ. For Vikrant I will reserve for the future because right now he is out of the question considering how this so called Sach gang is behaving now đĄ
Like they are not at fault and only Vikrant is at faultđĄ.
Clearly forgetting their share of mistakes.đ¤Ź
I think everyone... even Vik fans agree on this point that Dua wont be safe in SM... surrounded by witches
and Vik being so gullible it would be difficult to care for her however much Vik loves and adores Dua.
In that sense its better she is much safer in Indore.

Oh Jack Sparrow, I do love you!

.The issue is that despite having a 45 minute episode the writers find time to focus on Y but not on Vikrant.
[I think Vikrant's side of the seven years will be focused on when a little bit of misunderstanding clears. But I agree they need to give him some good dialogs. His scenes are not painting him positive at the moment.]
Neetu suddenly started talking with no progression shown, there was no gradual impact of Vikâs presence on her.
[Her medicine is Vikrant, so Son's love is making her better [LOL]]
After Lohri, she was directly speaking to Dua without much hesitation. Vik has been in Indore for almost a week now as ler episodes yet there has been no focus on the mother son relationship. Itâs shown only from Neetuâs side, where she is desperate to meet him while Vik doesnât even think of checking on her after he meets Ronnie.
[I agree to this. He does not even think of meeting her before leaving Indore. Also, after eating Khichdi, he should have thought of meeting her. It is probably to keep him in the dark about Neetu's health. Writers want them to meet some other time.]
There is still no emotional bonding shown between Vik and Dua. In my opinion, the writers have failed to handle these situations effectively. They could have developed connection even without revealing the paternity.
[As you say, the writers have not activated their Wi-Fi connection. They should have show him feeling the pull toward her.]
The core problem is that the writers introduce narrative and then leave them midway which breaks emotional continuity. If these issues were addressed, both TRP and watch time would improve. As of now, the audience is watching barely 23 minutes of a 45 minute episode.
[I agree about lack of emotional continuity.]
Just a counter point and not to take a dig at anyone .. .but because the gender of the lead character and audience is in question, a thought came to me!!!!
Coming from lost forum and even here (back when panmasala wedding was in proposal stages and Vik was faking romance with Malla while simultaneously flirting with Mannat) ... People had questioned if the ML gets a free pass at everything (including his faults ... I am counting both VS and VC here BTW) because deep down the audience knows the leads are supposed to end up together... we root for them... it helps that they (especially Adnan) is an eye candy
.
We dont usually support other male characters even though those actors are also good looking by conventional standards đ
Since it is possible we are looking at from gendered perspective... thoughts on this????
If the FL gets audiences sympathy from a gendered perspective... does the ML behaviour gets excused????
Not just gendered perspective, and not just in fiction but even in reality too we as humans have so many bias,The things we are talking about does have particular names....
Understanding and relating to people more like us either gender, age, occupation wise etc... Is called affinity bias...
And understanding or relating to people who one likes/attracted to, is halo effect... Where people ignore the flaws of people they like etc....
but in reality since decisions, opinions have consequences we tend to let go of these biases, try to think objectively and take decisions......where as in fiction we as audience don't get much time to analyse that much and our opinions doesn't have much consequences so we don't think that deep and thus we sometimes look at stories subconsciously through a biased lens.... only when we try to analyse it a bit more do we realise the actual pov of all the characters...
As far as my opinion is considered even after understanding every characters pov i feel vik is more on the wrong....because people does make mistakes and their loved ones can confront them on that but can't put up the behaviour like vik did.. yes mannat was wrong in hiding few things from him but mannat too understood and forgave vik for his mistakes.. But vik didnt forgive her and went way out of boundary.... But since his situation is not normal, where he lost his own identity and cannot recognize himself, I feel he need not be villainized as makers are doing him..... He definitely needs redemption, there is no doubt in it but somewhere I feel the story is loop sided and excessively crucifiying him. . . I have no issue of makers showing mannat side of story, they are very rightly portraying it and mannat is right in her views as per her pov.... But the same should be shown for vik too, his side of story and pov..

Well said both monther-son and father daughter emotional bonding missing. No head/NO tails in the story. Thet write whatever they want.
Let's agree to disagree đ.
