This happened in year 2013 or 2014. My aunt and uncle went to one very aged astrologer in remote Kerala to show horoscopes of their kids. My mother had given my horoscope also to my aunt. Whatever that astrologer had predicted for me and my cousins have come true.

He said..

1. I will definitely get married.
2. Post marriage, I will continue to live in same city as I was currently living in year 2013 / 2014.
3. I will have two sons.

All 3 predictions have come true in my case.

Thank you for coming forward with your experience on this subject too smiley31

I’ve noticed when it comes to Jyotish, when people share their experiences, they’re mostly negative and there’s already this preconceived notion that people have in their heads thanks to movies, shows and other people who have had bad experiences.

The ones like you are rarely brave enough to come forward with their positive experiences because they feel like they might be made fun of or ridiculed; or because they’d rather keep things to themselves or whatever.

But I do believe people shouldn’t dismiss a subject just because they don’t understand it or because movies/shows tell you to do so.

The issue is that when people go to these Pandits or Jyotishis they go with an attitude of this is too complicated for me to know, let alone comprehend enough of the basics that I might at least give it a rudimentary look.

People need to approach the subject in a clinical manner, like one would with a doctor or lawyer; don’t just consult one. Do your own research on what you want to know about as much as you can. Nowadays you can learn even via YouTube videos so much. You don’t buy expensive material or enrol in courses that you don’t need/want either.

But at least have some foundational knowledge of the subject to ask better questions, to grasp if you have met a true expert in the subject or a fraud. A genuine expert will know how to answer your questions and if asked respectfully will not mind your questions asked with your basic understanding of the subject matter. Rather they can get more specific, technical and explain you things better.

I believe in Kerala they practice a branch of Jyotish called Nadi Jyotish if memory serves me right. It’s one of the oldest surviving school of a traditional Indian ancient subject still practiced today. It’s believed to be very accurate and a very learned scholar of the field can give you even exact time frames for events that you might want to know about.

I am glad that you had such a positive experience with this subject and that you have such lovely uncle and aunt who would first of all share with your mum they found such a scholar and then treat you like a child of theirs too to even bother asking questions for your life and future. I know many who wouldn’t share even that they had learnt of such a scholar let alone that they were going to visit him; the question of them bothering to take someone else’s chart/s and ask questions on their behalf even if the querent is willing to pay their share of the fees is not even worth considering.

Thank you for sharing your experience too.

In my family I have ironically had both kinds of experiences. Though not first hand.

My Dadi was told by some fraudster regarding my dad, who as the quintessential middle child - the 3rd out of 5 - raised the most ruckus that he wouldn’t amount to anything in life. While his other 4 siblings would do much better than him.

My dad had 1 sister, the oldest child and then there were 4 brothers. My aunt and youngest uncle passed away even before they could turn 20/ 24 respectively. Of the surviving siblings, my dad turned out to be the most successful one too. He had said my dad would be useless. Ironically, when my grandparents passed away my dad was the only child who was there to take care of them both times. My aunt was there for my Dadi; but by the time my Dadu passed away even she had been gone for more than two decades. My parents looked after my Dadu in his final days.

Then there was a heartbreaking and accurate prediction made for my youngest uncle. An astrologer had predicted that 2 weeks of a specific month in a particular year were going to be very dangerous for him and he should be as careful as possible since he could meet with a fatal accident. The incident did come to pass ironically as the 2 weeks were about to end on the 13th day of that window I believe. My uncle did meet with an accident and passed away right there on the spot with over a 100 witnesses present but not 1 person could do anything to help him as everything happened so quickly that by the time people even reached him he was already gone.

Both these incidents took place even before I was born… one man made my dad think all this stuff was fraudulent given his own life experience… the other jolted him and made him think that a person who claimed to be an expert was a fraud but the subject itself was not a bunch of nonsense or superstition.
