UD they played around with him after mukti's death too. There was no reason. The actor changed too it was stupid. Kv and shweta tiwari scenes were always fire. Also anurag prem scenes were nice. Fantastic acting by everyone

Iirc prem when he and Mukti slept together ( he had no feelings but pretended to be in love with multi) he bragged about it to sharavan /ksg, somehow that gave an impression that mukti is a loose character girl. One reason she never responded to his love till the wedding drama. So he was indirectly responsible, also sharavan was his bestie he supported him in court that hurt mukti alot. There was a beautiful scene in rain between prem mukti where she says one day you will love someone with all heart - basically Since Mukti got to know his truth, the dialogues were such that a tragedy will happen with the two. So the death wasn't that shocking

The shows today can show us hard-core violence scenes . Problem is today the makers will try to justify a virat dobriyal cause he's handsome and fangirls ship him. The fans today will justify his psychotic behaviour cause of childhood trauma or whatever. That's the difference today.

Its so funny you mentioned balika vadhu cause today I was going through hotstar and going through episode description. Gehna basant initial marriage sequence was horrific. Also sugna, how she had to wear white and couldn't wear any jewellery or bangles, how people used to blame her for husband's death. It was a harsh show

I got too bored by Kasam Se by the time Gurpreet came. Prachi Ram were so popular that you couldn’t escape the show. Funnily, he had to sign on as a guardian for her when the show was shooting abroad as she was a minor at the time and no one in her family had ever been abroad so they had no clue to even help her with the formalities.

KV quit iirc because he didn’t want to play dad to people in their 20s because he was also in his 20s understandable

Justifying anything is possible today. I remember learning about a show called Pinjra pyaar ka or something like that. The hero gets obsessed with the heroine for being too beautiful, basically bullies her into marrying him. Then she has an accident and her face is ruined so he throws her away like trash. Then she gets a plastic surgery, comes back looking even more beautiful than she did before, makes him fall in love with her and marries him again. Turns out this creep has a psychotic woman obsessed with him. The heroine falls in love with the ma she wanted to destroy because she sees he’s getting trapped by this woman.

Make it make sense is what I wanted to scream!

Hiten Gauri were popular; they had the success of Kutumb to make people want them back again onscreen. Then the news broke that not only were they working together again but were in a relationship for real. They got married during the show at the peak of their popularity as Karan Nandini and that got the show to stick to them as a couple regardless of whatever else happened.

They saw the track of their love triangle got a tremendous response and Aakashdeep’s contract was extended. He had formerly been signed onto the show for only 4 months but ended up being on the show for nearly a whole year and after a short break, was back again as his own son Eklavya later too.

They didn’t go down this route because they knew they would lose viewers and because of a key distinction. Gauri managed to escape Pratham’s one and only attempt; Nandini is repeatedly harassed and her luck runs out in Switzerland. Pratham was shown as an arrogant brat but he had his redeeming qualities. For example, he was extremely offended when Gauri misunderstood his genuine affection and friendship for Natasha as him having romantic feelings for her. She then fuelled his cousin Samay’s mind with doubts about their friendship too after Samay and Natasha got engaged. Also he was never a pervert and never was seen lusting after any girl in the show the way Ansh was shown when it came to Nandini almost from the beginning of his arc.

no I wasn't comparing Pratham and Ansh, while Pratham r**ing Gauri has no excuse, but he did that in a heat of moment when he misunderstood that Gauri has told his mother that he is impotent(actually the way she said it could have been construed that way) and went into repentance immediately after that..He then did everything possible to get his apology

the track in Kkoi Dil me hai was exactly the same in this context. only difference that heroine gets pregnant and so she accepts the apology of ML for the child

Ansh was pure evil. his crime was premedidated not sudden, he had got her to Switzerland only for this reason. and he never had any remorse for his actions unlike above two

I just feared seeing how Ekta loved breaking couples...

P.S. I watched that episode yesterday to get the SS of Tulsi's expression and there while scolding Ansh, Tulsi says Kunti ne Pandavo ko Draupadi ko baatne k liye kaha, I was like why are you bringing Mahabharata here...

Ansh says to main kya karoon. for a moment I wanted him to say that unke baare me kaun abhi baat Karega but then he continued speaking in same analogy

that Mahabharata reference felt so out of place there
