Do our perceptions matter more or what the characters think or are 'made to think' are important... since they are the ones who are going to be 'living' that situation

For example... there are very few takers of Neetus WW... let Mannat ne use clean chit diya hai..

Or Mallas innocence which Vik believes in... but audience doesnt...

Or Mannats forgiving nature especially towards Vik... which is a typical FL trait none of us agree wholeheartedly...

DK falls in the same category.. what we think of him and what the characters think of him wont necessarily match...

My point is our interpretations are because we know both sides of story... characters dont... characters operate based on the situation presented to them... we cant expect them to work the way we want because they dont know what we know 😀

We can criticize the writing but it should be done based on what the information the character is privy too 😉

Counter questions about character awareness

Was Mannat aware DK got ARS out of the prison? Was Mannat aware DK supported Vish even after he found her locked up in the trunk after the skit? Was Mannat aware how manipulative Vish was that she manipulated DK for years into believing she lost Vikrant? Was Mannat aware Neetu drugged Vikrant? Was Mannat aware Vikrant can be volatile if truth comes out in front of him through any of the villains?

Was DK aware he was getting back mailed by the villains when he started the fire on KC ? Was he aware how manipulative, dangerous Vish can be and still requested for Vish to be there for the wedding and let her out when Mannat locked her ? Was DK aware Daadi was at risk? Was DK aware of Malla's wrong doings when he saw her bribe the priest and still kept quiet?

What if he changes his mind after all these years and wants the baby back. Trauma never allows a person to think clearly and instead, the mind keeps running through the worst possible permutations and scenarios. Mannat does not want his presence in anyone’s life because everyone has already endured immense pain and hardships to survive, and she fears that his return could reopen wounds they fought so hard to heal.

Bold , I hear you but has Mannat asked what RoTu want, she is again making decisions for others which is not hers to make. Dua , she can definitely decide since she is the only parent in her life at the moment, but not for RoTu since she sees how miserable they are even if she doesn't want to acknowledge. She is making the same mistake she did years ago by deciding for herself she will help RoTu and DK hide the truth.

The way he said looking at almost crushed picture of Mannat - he is looking for revenge due to ego. He is unable to accept the fact that Mannat left & never came back & moved on with DK.

Right now he is yearning for her but the minute he sees her with DK and Dua then these same feelings will come back - the same rage, anger..

Mannat is anticipating the above reaction & thinks that Vikrant out of anger & ego might end up hurting her & her child & snatch Dua away...

Neetu is not keeping well, Ronny is getting old so naturally the responsibility of taking care & taking decisions partly falls on her.

Last time RoTu decided not to tell the truth & we all saw what distaster it bought, even though Mannat kept on begging & pleading them to tell the truth...

So sometimes if we take decisions on our elders behalf its fine..

Out of vengeance to M/DK Vikrant will tell Dua he is her father not DK…..so shatter the world view that Dua as a very young child has. Mannat has kept that truth from Dua (and subconsciously Mannat knows that’s wrong hence her fear) but Dua is too young to process and deal with this. And with this coming out, the rest of why her father abandoned her mother and rejected anything to do with her(Dua) would have to follow. Remember Mannat wanted to protect Vikrant from this for his own truth being revealed, because how as an adult it would break him, so as a 6/7yr old it’s too much. And from what Mannat has seen in the last few day Vikrant isn’t a redeemed character to provide Dua any better environment.

Vikrant’s biggest flaw, his weakness in judging people came into play, he went on to CA Mannat and throw RoTu out of their house and strip them of their wealth, which is his greatest mistake. Mannat had no choice but to flee for her baby’s and her own self preservation. Mannat should be credited for giving her daughter a stable and loving environment to grow up in, if that means keeping Dua’s birth truth from her until she is resilient enough to face the challenges that brings, so be it, as Shruti did for Mannat. It’s not right but under the circumstances Mannat didn’t have much option.

What Mannat said about anyone Vikrant loves, he also destroys is true. Including himself! Mannat’s responsibility is to protect herself and her daughter from that happening again and again, until Vikrant himself changes. And that will only happen when Vikrant sees the true face of the negative people he allows to control his life and to work on managing his anger.

But Vikrant is still stuck where he was 7 yrs ago. IF that change had already taken place Mannat would have returned, with her daughter to Vikrant - DK isn’t the preventing that. Vikrant and the ease with which he can be manipulated is the issue for Mannat (and now Dua), not to face the same fate at the vamps hands again.

And actually even though he was lied to about the pregnancy, the trajectory he has was on and still on with ARS/Vish, his ‘gf’ and Yuvi, Vikrant together with the vamps will destroy any chance he has of winning Dua’s love, let alone Mannat’s. So Vikrant has to undergo realisation before he has any hope of winning his daughters trust.

Vikrant is no doubt volatile, not trust worthy and ends up trusting the wrong audience especially someone like M whose crimes he was well aware off and still trusted her over Mannat on that fateful day. He needs redemption and that too on his own without Mannat proving or giving him proof this time around. I will also bring up Y, I do not like the fact Vikrant gives all these rights to her , but then acts uncomfortable which is misleading her even if she is shown as a villain. We cannot blame her if she gets vengeful later on.

Are we disolving Mannat of the mistake she made because she lost Shurti, was CA and was pregnant or is it because it was 1 mistake ? Because that 1 mistake ignited the fire which was not something small , it was life changing and destroyed so many lives including hers, Dua's, Vikrant's and ended with Shurti's death. I am excluding RoTu since they were in it for years and they deserve what they got (I know I may be minority on this 🙈)

If you ask me both need to have a realization on where they went wrong, though Vikrant has a bigger and longer trajectory to climb.

Nothing stopping RoTu return and trying to re establish their independent relationship with Vikrant. They hid behind Mannat before and it cost her so much, if Ronnie felt he didn’t agree with Mannat deciding on their behalf, he is capable of reaching out to Vikrant about Neetu’s health for example?

Mannat has realised her mistake pre leap right..?,that she shouldn't have hid the fact from vikrant...that's why she kept on running back to him despite his harsh words... mannat did say to vik at shruti's funeral that she understands his anger but not the allegations and it's true vik has no right to question mannat's loyalty... And if it's just terrace allegations then may be he deserves another chance if he truly repents because the situation he is in is not normal, he is completely stripped off from his identity.. So it's not vik who said those words, it's not aman who said those words... All those words and anger came from a mindset which even vik can't recognize, that's why if it's just terrace thing then he deserves another chance.... But from mannat's pov he also accused her of sleeping with his brother... And if it were true vik actually didn't deserve another chance no matter in what situation he said those things... And from mannat's pov it's true that vik doubted her and his brother cheated on him

And i dont think mannat decided anything for rotu... Rotu are free to take a decision for themselves,they know vik's address and everything related to him if they wanted to they can go and mannat wouldnt stop them....
