Hritik is actually a manchild like you had mentioned earlier. We cannot justify his behavior. But he is realistic. What I liked is, usually in TV shows, playboys are usually referred as manchild or someone with rude and obnoxious behavior. But in this show, they have shown a soft guy like Hritik as a manchild which is good. Because manchild is a man who cannot fulfill his responsibilities and is dependent on others to save him. So due to ITV and movies, manchild is looked down as some mockery as it is associated to playboys. It's not always the man has to be a playboy or something. But here, they try to show the manchild behavior and in future, he may become independent.

Hritik was shown to be very much sheltered and meek.He was totally dependent on his mom and dad and he is having a breakdown coz his mother left him.

In some way or other he took tulsi for granted and expected her to stay and pacify him even when she was traumatised by the whole scandal.

He is irked,annoyed and very impulsive.

His behaviour towards munni is very idk Off that he just presented a bribe knowing her for so many years.

He needs to get mature for timsy.

He is a dad and he needs to buck up.

It baffles me how the kids thought that tulsi will stay and PACIFY them when her whole life came crashing down.

Writers did opposite of upma where onupamaa stayed and took care of her kids whereas Tulsi took a stand and left for own sake.

Agreed. Initially Armaan seemed like a decent guy. Chehra badla toh character bhi badal gaya lagta hai.

And yes, both are despicable as hell but even then Anupamaa looks better to me than Armaan sometimes in terms of toxicity.

At least she hasn't kidnapped someone's kid, or made fun of someone's maternal instincts.

Where Anupamaa is a doormat, Armaan thinks he can order around people to do his bidding. He's like this spoilt kid who throws a tantrum when things don't go his way. The way he has treated his wife is absolutely pathetic. Kabhi kabhi lagta hai even Jungle King wasn't this bad and imagine he was a *negative* character.

oh yes.

Both are selfish and self centred, but I don't think Anupamaa as a deliberate criminal, Armaan is.
