Do we want 18 to 25 year olds being cast with Ranveer? He needs age-appropriate heroines. I always wondered why actors like Rajnikanth came with heroines like Miss Rai and even Sanjay Dutt looked so old for her. smiley11 It is nice to know Ranveer is age conscious of his heroines. smiley36

9 year age gap is being age conscious?! Fine then !

Yeah , 18 to 25 years Olds are okay to play his onscreen daughter or baby sister.

Lol so it's a remake of the Juliaane Moore- Mark Ruffalo's Blindness. It's a decent one time watch. Much better movies on similar subjects. There's no Zombies in it though, so not sure what the Samosa's are talking about.

Ms Priyadarshan ki to Nikal padi, the wife(Julianne Moore) is the protagonist of the film, the only one who can see. It's an apocalyptic human drama not some Zombie Action thriller. I can totally see Alia lobbying for this role, an action thriller not so much.

A movie based on a book need not be a full fledged remake. I think it is but expected that the first time Ranveer decides to produce a film, he would do it for one where not only is he very confident of the material but also has a very meaty role. The book that she posted was suggested as a read to her by the director and it is still possible he only suggested for her to get a sense of the post apocalyptic world / concept they are going for. I just know one thing for certain that the story will be really good if Ranveer decided to take the plunge and produce this one. Ranveer has displayed amazing script sense through majority of his career and this is a great concept to try in BW given the next to negligible films in the genre. To think he will be playing 2nd fiddle in a film mounted on his name and with his money is a wee bit presumptuous.

This actress is very pretty. Not seen the movie she was on so cannot say about her acting chops. The first impresion from her posing with the book is that her or another charatcer will be blind - in a zombie movie. Really tough thing to do. Reminds me of TV series 'See' where Aquaman actor Jason Momoa (and all the world) is blind, in a post apocaliptic world, and just 2 kids can see. Could lead to a very interesting viewpoint. Sandra Bullock also covered her eyes (not blind) in another post apocaliptic movie. I think called 'Bird'.

Agreed with your view. Besides, how many HW movies are 'inspired' by South Korean movies and other movies from around the world? Countless. Literally most top S Korea movies are remade in Hollywood each year. They even bring their directors to HW.

You cannot say: just because x,y, z did a similar type of movie, or a movie with someone (possibly) blind, then there's no scope for another movie, with a similar or different take.

Ranveer Singh is now at the point where he can dictate what he wants to make, I am sure he won't go for a mere copycat of some movie.

But yeah I can see already people saying just because it might have 'some' similarity with another movie, his detractors might say: we're SURe he copied ALL. Lol, the mental gymnastics some have to go to deny Ranveer his obvious talent. Must be exhausting 😂
