This is where I am confused, There is a similar story line in Kuch rang, and it was handled beautifully and there was a male character there aswell but never called Papa though he helped raise the child. There were never any lies and here it's all the more risky considering how 1 lie of Mannat destroyed her life and took away Shruti. Wouldn't she be scared to lie again that too the same trauma she & Vikrant faced and now doing the same to Dua?.

It's probably me who can't understand lies, since I have seen many of my friends/families whose dad wasn't living with them nor have they even met the dad. They were living with their families, however they never went on to call other male relatives in the family as papa and infact they were told from a very young age they were separated and in 1 case deceased.

I don't understand how lies are going to help any child , Truth shouldn't have a right time to reveal. If Mannat would have corrected Dua when she was young she wouldn't have to keep lying daily. Sure, she would ask for her dad but by now she would have understood the situation and she would have still gotten the same love from DK. Mannat is not only deceiving Dua but she is prepping her for a worst heartbreak. She will have only herself to blame once Dua finds out different versions of the truth and having Vikrant's genes is a danger sign already.

I think Mannat has turned into Shruti. Shruti told lies but given the kind of person Aish was, Mannat has viewed those lies in a positive light. It was lies told to protect her and they allowed her to have a good childhood. So to protect her daughter she has been fine with telling the lie. She knows the truth always surfaces but i don't think she is counting on it surfacing when Dua is still so young.

Mannat will only regret her decision when it backfires and it will only backfire if DK turns negative. Vikrant pointed out to her that she gave his place to DK and this point never sunk through in her mind. The moment her and DK started keeping secrets and deciding what was best she effectively gave Vikrant's position to DK granted the reasoning was they were doing it for Vikrant but still it wasn't right. This is what sealed her fate for the breakup with Vikrant.

She has carried on with that position. She never understood the point then and this will remain a sore point. Vikrant was wrong on the CA but wasn't wrong on the closeness part. Now she took it a step further and gave the fatherly position of Vikrant's child to DK. How is she going to fix the mistake when Vikrant comes back and she realises he didn't disown his child and meanwhile she has given full rights to DK.

People are forgetting the fact that when dk, mannat and rotu must have moved in together, mannat was pregnant, neetu was sick, the only two capable were ronnie and dk. Mind you, it must be only dk who must have been an earning member of the family that time. In this family of four, all of them had different surnames. No matter what we convince and what not, society will poke their nose in their business. Wouldnt have people wondered who is this pregnant young girl with a dcp? If they would have told everyone the truth, people still would have found one way or another to point fingers at mannat or unborn dua or even vikrant. Mannat and Vikrant both at this big age still had hard time to accept their bitter birth truth and we are keeping expectations from a 7 year old kid who has grown up in a healthy, balanced environment since the start. Yes agree Dua is quite mature and sensible kid but such things can mess up anyone's mind and she is a child. What mannat would have told Dua that why rotu who are her father's parents live with her? Lying is wrong but this one lie has temporarily salvaged alot of things. I'm sure when dua reaches to certain age, mannat, dk or ronnie would sit down and tell her the truth.

Shruti's case was way different still she chose to portray a fake husband to keep Mannat away from society's heat. She was financially stable, had friends to help and main thing? She didn't have to physically carry mannat in her womb for 9 months, people do neglect this major difference in hers and mannat's case. In Mannat's case, alot of things played the role which made her choose this path. She was left nothing but a baby in a womb. She had no home, no money, no job, no family of her own. She was still traumatized with her mother's sudden death. She had her old in laws with her and a man who has been good towards her. Due to all this, she chose a safer option to build an environment for her child.

Vikrant's dialogues some of them were bang on pre-leap , others less said the better 🫣

You know I was always against the truth gang and your 2nd & 3rd paragraph is love. Mannat has created a mess for herself and for Vikrant & Dua this is irrespective of DK turns negative or now. She apologized pre leap for lying , but she hasn't understood what was bothering Vikrant in the whole catastrophe. Even now after leap Vikrant's complain remains the same.

How can he even say this knowing fully well his own mistakes, crimes and him bringing Vish into their lives and how Vish manipulated him his entire life. So, he is ok his brother who he dearly loves 👎 lives a life of lie with Vish being manipulated,misses out on Dua & he gets to live a life with Vikrant's daughter , selfish much and clearly showing he is Vish's son

I bet you Vikrant is stupid, but if he has additional information which DK has at the moment , he would never ever do this to anyone let alone his brother.

DK tends to create a mess. Turn himself into a saviour and never do you hear him acknowledge even to himself that he has made a mistake. He started the fire on Karwa chauth that led to the break up. All he kept saying in the episode is how can Vikrant just end the relationship like this without any thought. He turned himself saviour and disclosed the truth to Ronnie. His crime to date remains a secret.

On the day of Shruti's funeral he was ready to ship off the family to Indore on that very day. He had all the plans ready. Not sure when exactly he had planned to talk to Vikrant when he already had advanced plans in place. Vikrant just made it easy for DK by punching him that day.

Vikrant's mistakes that are out in the open are better than DK's hidden ones.

Let me ask this, what are the planning to do tomorrow if Dua asks for their wedding pics or neighbors ask for wedding pics , what if Dua asks why they don't live in the same room, what if Dua asks she wants a sibling or the same society asks why not have another kid?

Pre leap I had my sympathy only for Mannat character because she was a collateral damage and paid the biggest prize for 1 lie. But if Mannat hasn't learnt anything from what happened 7 years back, why have the expectations from Vikrant that he has to learn something in 7 years from his last mistakes.

I was saying this in one of my earlier post, both Mannat and Vikrant are wrong and neither get a clean chit and because of their mistakes Dua is going to suffer big time.

Both RoTu and Mannat had their role in hiding the truth from him and making him lose his temper ,to throw a fit, apna aapa kho bethna in an uncontrolled manner...Vish poured ghee into it..past is done and dusted..

Even now both are at fault. I am of the same opinion,Rd..I mentioned in my earlier post also, why only Vik is questioned, both are on the same sinking boat ...As scar said,tbh Mannat is also too comfortable to go on a trip,only three of them, with no RoTu 😳.Sadly, their domestic vibes are showing something else. The situation may not be romantic, but something is amiss, which can't be ignored...

Not every child is same. Thats what I am trying to say.

Just bcz in that serial the child behaved normally doesn't mean every child will..

There is no point in putting undue mental pressure on a kid at such a young age..

The best Mannat should do is gradually start telling her about Vikrant after she reaches a certain age.

It is easier said than done.

I come from somewhat a similar background (my parents are unofficially separated)..

My mother had to endure a different level of torture from all the people around be it relatives friends everyone.. my childhood was not great either..

And that why I completely understand why Mannat is doing this.

She needs to be mentally sane first to look after Dua. If she keeps getting disturbed after what she has gone through then Dua will suffer way more...

How much ever we try to say that what society people say dosnt matter but the fact is we have to keep on taking small help from the very same people some or the other way. Its not possible to alienate people completely. And when we involve them they will ask questions no matter what.

Also not everyone is fortune to get good people around them.

Absolutely, We know it's platonic, but Vikrant won't. He will see what is presented to him and rightly so, Dua calling them Mom and baba, Vish adding more toxicity and this new lie will drive him over the edge to do more worse things 😰.

Mannat saw Vikrant with his "new family" and she came back and reinforced to DK that he is Dua's father. She started reminiscing past memories which brought on the mental dialogue by DK about how he is Dua's father and Mannat is now making concrete plans for their future. Mannat was triggered and it didn't end with her shouting at Dua.
