Because suffering doesn’t necessarily change you as a person.Previously she was a self obsessed person who was selfish enough to destroy her mother’s life and marriage for her own benefit. If she wanted something she wanted it regardless of what she had to do to get it, her motto was - my life, my rules. If I want something then I’ll get it because I deserve it since I’m Papa Ki Pari; I’m a Virani.

Now that she got what she wanted and it has backfired, she understands what her mum was trying to protect her from, what she was constantly warning her about, how she tried to save Pari and ensured her till the day she got married that she’d never let her be hurt and stand by her side no matter what she decides. As a mother herself now to a daughter, she gets what her mother was feeling all those years ago. Now she’s been living with this constant fear, abuse and humiliation daily, while being ignored by her dad, she’s still that same person underneath.

Again, she’s focused on herself. Her motto hasn’t changed. She still thinks my life, my rules. I deserve the things I get. Only where pride was once mixed with arrogance, now pride is mixed with embarrassment.

Earlier arrogance wouldn’t let her pause to reconsider the consequences of her actions on those around her - on literally her parents. Now her embarrassment, ego, vanity; call it what you may that stops her from verbally accepting she made a mistake that’s ruined everyone’s life including her own she doesn’t want to reflect on the repercussions of the same on the person most impacted by her inaction, as opposed to her actions once - Garima. She doesn’t want to consider how she’s hurting an innocent, the biggest victim of her actions and choices - once that happened to be her mother, now it’s her daughter.

Pari at the end of the day is still a selfish girl underneath it all. She’s simply been abused into becoming submissive, but that hasn’t changed who she’s underneath.

It’s hilarious - Gayatri was responsible for literally every vamp that ever stayed in SN and she never learnt her lesson.

She was the one who made Trupti stay with them, the woman who destroyed Ganga and Saahil’s marriage. She kicked Ganga out and denied her any rights to her children; even didn’t allow her to meet them. Then she brought Meera home. Meera fell in love with Mihir when he was trying to ensure Tulsi is not hanged to death for killing Ansh.

Now she got Noyna and her stooges home.

Each one of them was a home wrecker.

So it stands to reason that the first time Gayatri feels anything akin to sympathy, it’s for Pari, who was one of the people who wrecked her parents’ marriage and life.

Gayatri cannot see her own kind suffer.

Old habits die hard Even after all these years she hasn’t changed

She still doesn’t learn her lesson despite multiple failures and fiascos.

She’s akin to that one person who should never be allowed in the driving seat because she always has an accident and yet is hell bent on driving, and despite multiple crashes doesn’t learn her lesson and goes behind the wheel all over again. She doesn’t fear the consequences as maybe she has already damaged that part of her brain which can comprehend these things and gets behind the wheel again with the same confidence as RDX
