Chapter 9

INT. SIPPY MANSION – LIVING ROOM – NIGHT

The room falls into stunned silence as Tanya's declaration echoes like a thunderclap.

All eyes are fixed on her—every breath held, every expression frozen. Veena steps forward, her voice cracking as she asks, "What are you saying, Tanya? Even if not for yourself, at least think about your child. When he or she is born, won't they need a father?"

Tanya meets Veena's gaze with unwavering calm, her voice sharp but steady, "But Ma, what's the need for a father who disowned both his child and the child's mother even before the birth?"

Veena flinches as if slapped by the truth. Her eyes glisten with restrained emotion. With a slow, solemn nod, she accepts Tanya's words. Then, without a word, she turns on her heel and storms toward Rohan and Pari, her eyes blazing with fury.

Before anyone can react, she grabs both of their hands and begins dragging them toward the door.

Gasps echo through the room, but no one moves. Only Suman protests, rushing forward and exclaiming, "Mrs. Veena Sippy, what the hell are you doing?"

Veena doesn't even glance her way. Her grip on Rohan and Pari remains firm as she pulls them to the entrance and, with one fierce push, shoves them both outside.

Suman hurries to Pari's side, her voice trembling with rage, "How dare you throw my daughter out of the house when she is officially Mrs. Rohan Sippy now?"

Veena turns, fire in her voice as she snaps, "Just shut up, Suman Rastogi! Don't you dare question my actions in my house!"

Suman is silenced, her words lost in the air.

Veena continues, her voice echoing with finality, "From this moment forward, I have only two sons—Rohit and Ajit. I disown Rohan from my family."

Shock ripples through the room. Even Rohan is stunned.

He steps forward, desperate. "Ma, please—" he starts, but before he can say another word, Veena slams the door in his face.

The force of it makes him stumble back. Outside, the cold air swallows the last shred of dignity he had.

EXT. SIPPY MANSION – NIGHT

Suman bangs on the door, her fists loud against the wood as she screams, "Mrs. Veena Sippy, you can't do this! Rohan is your son!"

There is no response from within.

After several futile minutes, Suman lowers her hand, panting, her face livid. She whirls around and glares at Rohan.

"Now what, Rohan? What's your plan? Will you let my daughter sleep on the streets just because you've been kicked out of your palace?"

Rohan's shoulders sag. "Don't worry... Mom," he says softly, but Suman shoots him a glare at the word.

He hesitates, then adds, "I mean... can I call you Mom? Since you're Pari's mother..."

Suman exhales sharply, exasperated. "Don't play games with me, Rohan. Just tell me—how are you going to take care of her now?"

Rohan turns his gaze longingly toward the Sippy Mansion, eyes filled with regret.

INT. SIPPY MANSION – FOYER – NIGHT

Inside, Veena collapses against the closed door, tears pouring down her face. Rohit, Sonakshi, Ajit, and Pooja rush to her, concerned and frantic.

Rohit steadies her, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Mom, please, don't cry like this. You've done nothing wrong. Everything you did tonight... was right. For Tanya."

Veena sobs quietly, unable to find her voice.

"Shush, shush, Mom," Rohit whispers, cradling her like a child, "Please stop crying... your BP will drop, and you'll fall sick. Please..."

She finally lifts her eyes to him, broken and hollow. "Where did I go wrong, Rohit? Where did I fail so badly... that Rohan cheated on Tanya with Pari? There must be something wrong in my upbringing."

Rohit shakes his head, gently rubbing her back. "No, Mom. It wasn't your fault. Like Sonakshi's mom said... it was the blood inside him that made him commit this sin. He didn't care about emotions, or family, or honour."

Across the room, Naren silently lowers his head, guilt weighing heavy on his shoulders.

Tanya suddenly bursts into quiet tears and slumps onto the sofa.

Seeing her, Veena wipes her face and rushes to her side. She holds her shoulders gently, her voice steadier now. "Tanya, this is not the time to break down. This is the time to stay strong—just like you were a moment ago. You're not just standing up for yourself anymore, but for your child too."

Tanya's father, his voice tight with emotion, interjects, "That's easy to say, Samdhan ji. But how is my daughter supposed to survive in this cruel society—how is she supposed to raise a child all alone? What wrong has she done to deserve a life of solitude?"

Veena rises, her voice laced with firm resolve, "She won't be alone. I will get her remarried."

Everyone in the room gasps. Tanya turns toward Veena, stunned beyond words.

Her father speaks again, this time trembling, "But... who will accept my daughter now?"

A moment of silence follows.

Then Naren steps forward and announces firmly, "Veena and Naren Sippy's youngest son, Ajit Sippy, will marry Tanya."

The words hit the room like a storm. Every jaw drops. Tanya looks at Naren, eyes wide in disbelief. Ajit stares, caught between shock and silent emotion.
