Ekta always takes the audience's response into consideration .The massive response karan(Hiten ) received was so huge that he overshadowed sahil, Gautam, even mihir , and in some intenses, even tulsi . Therefore the complaints were mostly limited to the fanbase of those actors and Hiten haters , not from the overall audience.

I didn’t care about Mihir Tulsi in S1. Never liked that Mihir by Ronit. No chemistry. Nothing. So boring. Felt like punching him at times. But ekta shoudnt have introduced karan as his son with Mandira. Apparently she didn’t even show them sleeping together and after leap randomly showed Karan as his child 🤢 just to justify bringing Hiten to the show. She could’ve showed Karan as that lost son of Tulsi or something. She didn’t even care about the OG Mihir and just did kaand through her fav Ronit. She just tortured the audience by forcing us to watch him as bajaj and then cheater mihir illegitimate child in Kyunki

Yeah I was child and I don’t even know why I was watching but I loved Anurag Prena and Karan Nandini. Then Prem Mukti. I was addicted to them and the whole show overall arc. I should’ve been watching cartoons, but I think we didn’t have cartoon channels

There was Cartoon Network. It was taken off air only about a year or so ago I think.
