X files was mostly about aliens and so I guess it qualifies more of a fantasy/supernatural/horror/procedural. Too many genres there

I used to watch so many shows of Hiten back then( mid 2000s that my younger cousin, we used to have only one TV for the family back then) actually complained to my dad like "ye kya hai, ko serial achha lagta hai wo dekhe to samajh aata hai, lekin isko to Hiten ka koi ghatia sa serial bhi dekhna hota hai"

I watched the second episode of Naagin. Seems like Kyunki team put all their hard work there and probably that’s why the less engaging episodes of Kyunki recently 😥 they also used one of the best songs for the leads while using one of the most boring songs for vrindang 😢

You couldn’t escape Kyunki back then if you tried. Your mum watched it, so did your aunts, grandmoms, neighbours. You would hear discussions in local trains when women discussed how poor Tulsi was cheated on by Mihir and how Ansh was such a rotten son.

In the markets you literally saw sarees, jewellery and bindis inspired by K shows.

Then Kyunki was a show which had foreign shoots like Australia and Switzerland. There would be crossovers with other shows.

If you lived in India and particularly the Northern part that’s predominately Hindi speaking, you could travel to literally ANOTHER state and find yourself overhearing Kyunki discussions on roads or watch Kyunki inspired clothes and jewellery in shops

There was no escaping the K craze of the OG shows. You got sucked it or thought they sucked. There was no third option, unless you didn’t speak or understand Hindi

None of Tulsi's son had anything positive to do after Karan came

Ekta was determined to cast gauri opposite hiten , so she waited for gauri's contract with sony to end. Gauri started shooting for kyunki as nandini the very next day. And the karan-nandini pairing gained immense popularity.

I heard some named their children with with Prena and others in Afghanistan We used to cook do and finish all our work fast so can we can catch with K serials from Kasauti to Kyunki and KHT each night. The shows were so addictive 😭

Ekta ruled the roost. Kasauti started here at 8:30 pm and her shows were on until 11:30 pm at night across various channels. Anyone who dared to touch the remote to change the channel mid-show did it so at their own risk

Moms wouldn’t spare you if they missed a single scene of their favourite shows.
