Didn’t like Animal, but thought Ranbir’s acting was really good.

Yet to see Dhurandhar. Will watch when it comes on OTT. All I can say is I’m really glad for Ranveer. I believe that he’s a fine actor who unfortunately doesn’t get his due.

Dhurandhar: I like spy thrillers, will watch when it's on OTT.
Animal: Misogyny aside, the movie felt so disjointed and made less sense. I watched Vanga's Arjun Reddy; at least it has cohesive storytelling. With Animal, I can barely remember what the story was actually about; it was daddy issues, right? Because of the hype around the action choreography, I am expecting some John Wick-level technicality, but I'm disappointed there, too. You know which Bollywood film I liked for its technically better action? Commando 1, starring Vidyut. Maybe simple goals like avenging the dog and a rescue mission give more scope for technical brilliance than whatever chaotic theme Animal was trying to achieve.

Having finally watched both, it's easily Animal. Dhuruandhar is essentially The Departed with some Indo-Pak stuff thrown in, in the name of realism. Everything in the film is "Borrowed". Animal was quite Original.

While both films are engaging, Animal also comes out on top with the Climax. Dhurandhars climax is weak. That forest scene is super stretched out and puts one to sleep considering how weak the action is on top of that.

Dhurandhar is the new kid on the block and fresh so I can see why it's winning the poll. A couple of years down the line, I think most people would prefer Animal.

Animal is aging like milk and will not be remembered as anything iconic. Animal can be compared to the book 50 shades of grey which was a bestseller but crap.

Dhurandhar is one of the landmark movies in India.

The underwear rash comedy in Animal was quite original indeed. Dhar has a long way to go before he makes original content like this.

Honest mein merko Animal dekhne mein zyaada mazaa aaya....

Lekin Dhurandhar kind of upar uth jaata hai, cause nation >> entertainment. Parliament attacks aur 26/11 ke scenes isko mehez movie se upar elevate kar dete hain. Some political propaganda aside, it truly instills a genuine patriotic feeling. Which is why it'll be remembered as a great movie....

But it's really really unfair to compare both films. I mean Dhurandhar ka action merko zyaada realistic aur impactful laga, lekin Animal ka violence was like watching a beautiful opera - unrealistic but amazing cinema. Ramba Ho reminded me of Dolby Walya scene a lot - bullets flying to the beats and all. Hawa Hawa scene mein Pajero chase scene ki yaad aa gayi. Both movies had killer BGM. smiley42

I do agree that timing is affecting this poll though...
