Sooo Gaurav entered Anupama as Anuj kapadia in episode 358 and his last proper episodic appearance was around episode 1435. That is not a blink-and-vanish or short role by any stretch. He was present throughout that entire long arc of more than 1000 freaking episodes and was literally one of the pivotal characters holding the narrative together,so many tracks centred around him along with Rupali .

You can dislike him as an actor - that’s absolutely your choice but rewriting facts to call that a “short role” is just not accurate.

And this isn’t the first time you’ve said it. I’ve seen multiple posts from you repeating the same lines - “what work has he done?”, “he only does small roles”, “his characters don’t matter”. But repeating something 10 times doesn’t magically make it true. There’s a saying in my mother tongue that goes: if you repeat a lie 10 times, by the 100th time people start believing it. And honestly, that’s exactly what this narrative feels like.

Gaurav has been the male lead in around ten (10+ honestly) shows,yes may be those other shows were not long running but he signed those shows as ML not "short" roles that you are claiming like...that’s his filmography, not an opinion. You don’t have to like him, nobody is asking you to. But repeatedly invalidating his entire body of work just because you personally aren’t a fan is unfair.

And honestly, this pattern reminds me so much of what Farhana used to do on the show I.e. dismiss, diminish, and deny someone’s credibility simply because she didn’t like them....I don't know if you also want to do the same or not, but it's not looking good to see continuous posts from you saying..."He does short roles" " what has he done" ...

About Anupama , when I said his role was short I meant the original serial in StarJalsa. Anupama is a remake of that StarJalsa serial. In that original serial his character ( not GK but the character he played) was short. In Anupama that short character was stretched. 358-2000 episodes for a male in Starplus Anupama kind of serials are only numbers. These are female oriented serials. Most of the time spent on Anupama's glycerine and jhagra. Male lead gets very less screen space. Mangal Lakshmi dekh lo pata chalega

GK himself mentioned he is doing short roles for a long time and I saw those short roles too. I guess he knows himself and his works more.

P.S. I don't dislike him as an actor. He is always same in all his characters. Average look, average acting. Nothing special. Why hate such actor?

BB doesn't and can't mention anyone's full filmography but that doesn't erase their body of work..Does it?

See I am not arguing with you here...all I am saying is There is a difference between a "short" role and a "short-lived" role, which is exactly why I want to ask "what is the definition of “short role” according to you?

Because when we look at GK’s career before Anupama, most of those roles were short-lived - meaning the shows themselves didn’t run long, or his track ended early because of story requirements. But short they definitely weren’t. He was the male lead or one of the central leads in the majority of those shows, which automatically makes them substantial roles even if the series didn’t run for 2-3 years.

And about Anupama being an adaptation- yes, the original Bengali version had a shorter arc for the character. But the moment a remake expands a character and gives them a 1000-episode presence, it becomes that actor’s full-fledged role. You can’t apply the original’s screen time to the remake’s actor - that’s not how adaptations work.

As for GK saying he has done “short roles,” he clearly meant short-running projects or shows that wrapped up quickly, not “insignificant characters.” There’s a huge difference.

And again calling him “average” is perfectly fine,who the hell am I to have any issues,that’s your personal taste. But describing his roles as “short” when the reality is that they were leads that didn’t last long is mixing up two very different concepts.

Yeah he has done few cameo appearances in comedy classes, saavdhan India,Mauka-e-vaardaat, and other few...and yes those are "short" roles...but not his "full-fledged role"..

That’s why I’m asking:

What exactly qualifies as a ‘short role’ for you? Because by any industry standard, GK’s roles were short-lived, not short...

Waise I totally agree with you on one thing..He was totally AMAZING is Celebrity MasterChef...his style of presentation and innovation in every dish was magical to see...His dish presentation were very very "artistic" and he managed it with such a huge disadvantage of "colour blindness"... commendable ❤️
