The main issue is, a film that has genuine cinematic triumphs (good performances , good score, engaging screenplay, good set design) , is discredited entirely thanks to this ideology fight

All this cheap name calling is people jumping on bandwagons ..without an iota of nuance …on both sides …everyone including critics just went on their ideologies completely sidelining the films merit

It’s box office is being reduced to the likes of kerela story which had little to no merit as a film…

The reviewers blitz through the cinematic aspects of the film and go straight to “why is this film high in testosterone” 😒 and talk abt that for like 2 out of the 5 mins of review …as film journalists with a space in a column/ website / Channel…people expect them to critique the film not whether or not it fits the ideology

If bharadwaj rangan complained abt the crew or veere di wedding being “hyper feminine shrill estrogen dominated films that were tough to sit through” would that be appropriate critique? He’d be cancelled as a reviewer straight away …

Anupama and the other reviewers don’t deserve hate and abuse but the deserved to be called out if their reviews give such wierd reasoning for not liking it ..

Why dosent this film have females? Why is everyone male? Why is it patriotic even if it’s a spy espionage film? Why is the film obsessed with pakistan if it’s a spy mission in pakistan? — WTF is this critique? 🤦‍♀️

Dhurandhar is a good movie n Ranveer deserves success. But the RW twitter is pure filth n filled with mysogynist bigots.

I always celebrate hate for Deepika. I have said here countless times that I love hate.I get a great kick out of it. Have you ever seen me reacting? I love the daily threads targetting Deepika.

She’s a reviewer, not a fan or an employee on Dhar’s payroll—plain and simple. She’s entitled to share her views on the movie, whether they’re favorable or not. Reviewers can be biased. What's the big deal?

Reviews are for people who actually seek them out. Much of the general public still relies on word of mouth when deciding whether to watch a film. Let them choose for themselves.

If she’s irrelevant, her opinion shouldn’t matter. If she is relevant, then it makes sense that she’s giving her view, not something Dhar or any of the movie’s cast, fans, or producers would prefer her to give.
