What PR? That some of them are posting about mediocre advances for the movie? Isn't it correct though? And how about the PR which claimed Dhurandhar being the best thing since sliced bread after the teaser/trailer? It works both ways and it is similar for most big movies. Fans/supporters overhype while haters and similar try to post negative things. It's not new and Dhar/Yami are not victim of this lol. When the movie starts underperforming not matching expectations then nowadays everyone starts shouting negative campaign/pr while if it does well then all good. Looks like final advances are decent (although as if it was pushed through some corporate bookings as well to make it look respectable). It could start OD with 25crr range and if wom is good then sail through and can do 400crrs, if not then will struggle for 200crrs.

It’s a cut throat industry. You can cry about them trashing your film or you can pay them to hype you up, either way, it barely matters. These critics/influencers make all the noise on social media for a week and then everyone moves on. They tried so hard to hype up Thamma and it still underperformed the moment people’s attention shifted to the next weekend release. Tere Ishq Mein didn’t need any noise, the hype was organic, and it showed. That Vicky Kaushal movie made a ton of money, half of it probably fake, and still left zero cultural impact. People already forgot about it. If the hype is organic, the film works. Negativity won’t make or break it.

The other issue is the film had these block bookings when advances opened but it was not a concern as it was pretty limited but on Thursday night there this was pushed up to a considerably higher level and you just hope the makers dont make a mockery of the film like a Sky Force. Its a sad state of affairs and you dont really want to be writing this sort of stuff but some makers just go a little too far.
