And that's stumps on a ridiculous day of Test cricket that has seen 19 wickets fall. England end in control having been rumbled for 172 with Mitchell Starc taking 7 for 58. The visiting quicks responded magnificently on a pitch offering help, exposing a number of cracks in the Australia batting order. Jofra Archer set the tone, Brydon Carse got key wickets then Ben Stokes bagged five.

"One key difference that I felt between the two sides is when England batted, it felt like they were throwing their wicket away (apart from a few that fell to Starc). For Australia however, it felt that England manufactured the wickets with good bowling and fielding placement. This will make a big difference in the second innings." If there's no weather delays, this game could be very well advanced by the end of today. Even a chance we don't see day three?

So England have a 40-run lead. And we've completed two innings barely half an hour into the second day. A superb effort from the England attack, started by Jofra Archer, followed by Brydon Carse and Ben Stokes bagged a rapid five-wicket haul
