Highest score for the innings - Rahul's 39. That says it all. That, and Harmer's figures of 4 for 30. He hammered India on a juice-loaded pitch that's turned red-hot, metaphorically at least, and it's been too much for India's batters.

08:04 GMT, 13:34 IST: Gill (neck spasm) won't come out to bat and India have been bundled out with a lead of 30 runs. Just like South Africa's innings, many batters got starts for India, but they couldn't convert it into a big one. Rahul and Washington batted patiently in the first hour and no wicket fell but things unravelled quickly after that. Harmer was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas as he bowled beautifully. There was a lot of assistance (variable bounce) from the end where he was operating and he varied his pace beautifully to finish with 4/30. Jansen picked three wickets and Bosch scalped a crucial wicket to cut short Pant's innings who was looking to counterattack. At lunch, India were in a pretty good position (138/4) but they lost 5 wickets for just 51 runs after the break. This game is nicely poised. With batting expected to get tougher as the game proceeds, can South Africa set a stiff target?

Bumrah to Rickelton, leg byes, FOUR, 140.3kph, that's unplayable! Takes off sharply from a length and the ball seams in as well. The ball hits the rib and runs away to fine leg.

It is difficult to bat on this pitch and score runs!

Should be out... given! No review! Tea! Rickleton played for the turn, there wasn't any. Might have hit both pads. Fullish length ball landed on middle and went straight. 85ks, looked like a flipper. Released from side of the hand, almost picked up pace after pitching. Rickleton looked to defend straight, was square-on and deep in the crease. Missed it. Ball tracking has three reds.
