 Aamir Khan has written a personal note to his late uncle Nasir Hussain, the man who launched him with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He has also dedicated his next film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na to his uncle as a gesture of gratitude for making him what he is today.Nasir Hussain, Aamir Khan's paternal uncle was the one who gave Aamir his first break with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. It was a launch that any newcomer could have only dreamt of in the late '80s. A source close to Aamir says, "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is dedicated to Nasir Hussain. This is something very close to Aamir's heart and he is indebted to Nasir saab whom he loved a lot. Since this is a debut film of the actor's nephew Imran, it is like coming full circle. Ever since his first film, Aamir felt indebted to his uncle for all that he had done for him. Nasir's son, Mansoor Khan too had done a lot for Aamir by directing films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Akele Hum Akele Tum and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar for the actor." After all that chachajaan and cousin Mansoor did for Aamir, he wanted to express his gratitude to them. The source adds, "So an emotional Aamir personally wrote a letter thanking his uncle and has decided to dedicate this film to Nasirji. In a way, he is acknowledging Nasir's contribution to his success as an actor. Aamir is very attached to Nasirji and his family. As Imran happens to be Nasirji's grandson Aamir is making sure that he leaves no stone unturned as far as Imran's debut film is concerned, just like his uncle Nasir had done years ago for Aamir." "Aamir has planned to release the letter personally written by him with every print of the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na," the source says. Nasir Husain was one of yesteryear's biggest producers. He has made blockbuster films like Teesri Manzil, Yaadon Ki Baarat, Tumsa Nahi Dekha, and Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai amongst others. |
