As much as it’s intriguing I always hate the trope of the marriage getting called off at the last minute. It’s so crass. Why are you making things difficult and awkward for everyone involved and unsure of yourself until the very last minute? How do you not know that you don’t want to marry someone until the two of you reach the mandap itself?!

Imagine spending lots of money to buy outfit,get your hair and makeup done,buy gifts for new couple,buy jewellery and accessories and then that jhamela of pleating saree and picking matching jewellery and clothes and then spending on traveling.

All this for the groom to run away from altar
