well written post as usual 👏Originally posted by: EkPaheli
Personally, I don’t think Kyunki can work without Smriti.
Also, I think the whole Hrithik Munni track is not just about women empowerment and education but also a subtle foray into the concept of online dating. Yesterday Hrithik, the mellowest and meekest of Tulsi’s son, even Harsh came across as more confident than him; lashed out at Munni after the revelation of her identity.
I understand he was hurt, angry, disappointed and worse felt like he was being made a fool. The words used by Mittali’s friend poured gasoline onto the fire she lit when she said someone was pranking him. If you pay attention to his words he is as much flabbergasted by Munni assuming that they can be together and having a classist approach as he is also dealing with his own self-confidence issues. He mentioned how she might have assumed because he looks a certain way, Munni perhaps felt he wouldn’t mind if he gets a girl who is a maid, as long as someone likes him. He was projecting what he considers are his flaws onto her as well. He also was perhaps frustrated with the fact that the girl he was desperately trying to meet was avoiding him and he feared her rejection. He perhaps was thinking that she would reject him based on his appearance and maybe she had already seen his pictures but was being kind in letting him down and so the first chance he got to reject her, he did it.
One thing that I liked about their conversation was when Munni says he was always nice to her and so she presumed things, and he immediately goes on the defensive about how that’s the bare minimum that a decent person does, treat others well. Munni also partially is responsible for this mess because she is immature in a certain way wherein she mistook kindness and decency for romantic interest and compatibility. Someone can be nice to you but not have any romantic feelings towards you and that’s fine.
Also, this serves as a cautionary tale. These two just happened to come across each other but they could’ve just as easily fallen into the trap of someone nefarious and been exploited. Hrithik’s perception was broken by the reality of the girl he likes being a maid in his own home, but it also reminds us that he had one to begin with. He failed to recognise the person in front of him because he was so caught in their online persona. But that persona could have been created by anyone. He was as gullible as Munni here.So I am curious about how they manage to show these two working out their differences while figuring out their individual self worth.
Honestly I feel they should bring in a girl for hritik who is confident and she helps hritik to regain a new perspective and confidence.
Munni can have her independent journey where she gains her maturity and independence.Thats my pov
Hritik and munni are a cute pair and I seriously hope they get a very good character development and storyline.
