Vaishnavi is not another name for Tulsi but is associated with Vishnu Bhagwan. Literally means she who belongs to Vishnu. If she ends up with Parth it works because Parth is a name for Arjun based on his mother’s name Pratha. Krishna calls him Parth. And we know Krishna and Arjun are both reincarnations of Nar and Narayan respectively. Nar and Narayan are two incarnations or Avatars of Vishnu Bhagwan.

So a pretty roundabout long way to connect smiley36

so who's Mihir?

How does he and tulsi connect?

Mihir is another name for devil it seems now

Mihir is literally another name for Surya Dev.

Surya Dev does have a turbulent married life per Puranas too as his wife is unable to handle the heat and so produces another clone of hers to stay with him while she secretly leaves to do tapasya so as to get a Vardan to be able to withstand his heat.

Surya Dev has a lot of children too from both his wife Sangya and the clone she created Chhaya. He gave Karan as a son as a boon to Kunti as she herself had in her naïveté and youth wanted to experiment with a Vardan she got and check if it really works.

So that’s how Karan and Mihir really work, also Mihir got into what can be termed as a father son conflict with him and it’s a parallel to the eternal conflict between Surya Dev and his son Shani Dev born of Chhaya Maa. Surya Dev was unaware he was born to a clone of his wife, hence when he saw his son at birth was dark, some say as dark as night he rejected him saying no son of mine can look like that as his previous children had no such appearance. Shani Dev was of course the son of a literal shadow brought to life and hence born dark.

Surya Dev also can’t acknowledge Karan as his son because that would malign Kunti’s reputation who was an unmarried princess at the time she invoked Surya Dev.

They used these Puranic parallels in some ways.

Just realised I didn’t answer your question completely. We know Surya Dev is often also called Suryanarayana. Narayan is another name for Vishnu Bhagwan and this name of Surya Dev connects him with Vishnu Bhagwan as both are considered the ones sustaining the world. Brahma Dev creates, Vishnu Bhagwan nurtures and Mahadev destroys.

Without Surya, the world doesn’t survive.

We know wedding season in India cannot start until the Tulsi Vivah which happens between Shaligram, a form of Vishnu Bhagwan and Tulsi Maa. He was cursed to turn into stone by Vrinda who would go onto self immolate herself after cursing her Aradhya Dev who deceived her and led to her husband’s death

Tulsi is born from Vrinda’s ashes and Vishnu Bhagwan marries Tulsi every year in the form of Shaligram, thus Tulsi Maa is also considered a form of Laxmi Maa. Ergo, Mihir and Tulsi are also connected in a roundabout manner in this way to the Puranas smiley36

They use names and concepts but common sense is unfortunately not something that you can borrow from the Puranas smiley36 you either have it or you don’t.
