IND vs AUS 4th T20 Live Cricket Score: Suryakumar Yadav's IND to take on Mitchell Marsh's AUS

Abhishek targets world record

Abhishek Sharma has been on a tear in the T20I circuit ever since his debut and has now waltzed past 900 runs already! The left-hander could become the fastest man ever to reach 1000 T20I runs, surpassing his captain Suryakumar Yadav if he gets 39 runs today.

The series finely poised at 1-1 and two matches still to play. A win today will ensure the series is not lost. Australia have started to shift focus towards their upcoming Ashes preparations with Travis Head withdrawn from the squad and Josh Hazlewood rested following his match-winning performance in the second T20I. That opens up opportunities for others, Mitchell Owen is expected to partner Mitchell Marsh at the top of the order, while the return of Glenn Maxwell provides a timely boost to the hosts. Could there be more changes on the cards? India, meanwhile, have been rotating their lineup throughout the series. Kuldeep Yadav has been released to join India A in preparation for the South Africa Tests, while the most talked-about move has been the omission of Sanju Samson, after batting at number three in the second T20I, he was left out for the third with Jitesh Sharma taking his place. Will Samson return for this crucial game, or will India stick with their winning combination? We’ll have all the answers shortly. Toss and teams coming up..

"Evening from the Gold Coast for just the third men's international at this ground. It's perfect conditions as the sun sets. Spotted Adam Zampa walking in with the Australian team so he may be available. Awaiting confirmation. Also waiting to see whether Glenn Maxwell makes the side tonight. India's have just reached the ground."

Shubman, SKY under scanner!

Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav are under mounting pressure to deliver big scores, as both have struggled for form in India’s ongoing T20I series. Their starts have been inconsistent, increasing the responsibility on players like Abhishek Sharma to provide explosive innings at the top of the order.

These both if they dont play well must be benched hereon

No 'head' ache for india tonight.

"Finally in the last game India understood that playing Jitesh in that lower order finisher is far better option than playing Samson. Also that puts more pressure on Shubhman that he needs to step up here and despite the continuous opportunity from the ASIA cup he has not been able to nail the spot or even put one solid performance. With Sanju or even someone like Jaiswal waiting he needs to score runs and shut the noise"

It's not often an India series is overshadowed but, in many Australian cricket circles at least, this T20I series is not the major talking point. There are few links in Australia's squad for this series to the upcoming Ashes with Travis Head and Sean Abbott having been released, while Josh Hazlewood was released after Melbourne. Josh Inglis, who will have a quick turnaround into Sheffield Shield cricket after the series is done, is the only one who remains who is among those to be involved in Perth. Even for India, Kuldeep Yadav has been released, while Nitish Kumar Reddy may be available again after injury.

Pitch Report: "It is beautiful blue skies. It is a drop-in surface here. Dry surface and very good for batting," informs Aaron Finch.
