Zayed-Malaika's wedding plan… By IndiaFM News Bureau, November 19, 2005 - 01:54 IST November 20th will be the most special day in the lives of Zayed Khan and Malaika Parekh. The two will be getting married in the presence of their loved ones. And as in Zarine Khan's words "it is the last wedding in the family", they are doing all that they can to make sure this day is special for everyone.
Zayed will be wearing a sherwani designed by Shahab Durazi. Embedded with crystals and diamonds, it costs over a lakh. Malaika will be wearing an Adarsh Gill creation which is a lime green lehenga choli with sequence work and crystals. The jewellery has been designed by Zayed's sister Farah Khan.
There will be a massive spread of food with 58 different delicacies like Afghani chicken, ghosht dum biryani, kebabs, tandoori food, etc.
The guests who are expected include CM of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh, Governor of MP, Balram Thakur, CM of Kashmir, Gulam Navi Azaad, Finance Minister, P Chidambaram, Anil Ambani, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen. Unfortunately the top notch stars like Amitabh, Abhishek and Jaya Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherji will not be able to attend as they are shooting for Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in New York. But, they will be sending their greetings. Shah Rukh Khan will be flying down especially for the nikaah ceremony.
After the wedding, the couple will be leaving only for a 3 day honeymoon as Zayed has a lot of film commitments. They plan to go on a European tour, next year.
